ok.. so this is the wrong section.. but hoping a couple of the true audio heads will stumble across it..
need some new studio monitors for my bedroom and cant decide.. its between these two:

&

basically.. will it be worth the extra cash for the second option?
the 1" bigger woofer on the rp6 means slightly lower freq response.. and obv i need it to hit the lows.. but will it be much of a noticeable difference?
the same with the new box design on the rp6.. will i notice the less refracted sound?
rp5s look better. but as we all know, audio isnt about looks
any comments welcome. evidence to support will help too

1.i know what active means, and i wouldnt have it.
2.who told you this ?
your taking short cuts by not having a dedicated amp.result poor sound quality.
in each of these small boxes there are 2 speakers and 2 amps sqeezed in.big deal they have rounded off the corners.
they are 150 watts.is that watts pmpo, rms or what.
whats the output of the amp ?
no mention of ohms.

impedance woulndt matter in an active set up as its allready been matched between speakers and amp
reading various sound magazines. 90% of them rate krk as the industry standard within the price range..
its 75wrms per speaker on the rp5s
and 70wrms per speaker on the rp6s
and that was kind of my question regarding the rounded off corners.. personally i cant see it making much of a difference to warrent the extra £70.. but i may be wrong?
the 6" rp6 as opposed to the 5" rp5 could be the key difference though in creating a powerful midbass sound.. as is well known, theres no replacement for displacement ;)
