Well as i said got the vts on Friday last night went round a mates and started hearing some whiring noises, looked underneath and sump was covered in fresh oil. We refilled with 10w40 and seems to of quietened down but still making noise, suggestions as to what this could be?

Cambelt was changed just over 20k ago but getting a slight noise from there so my guess either timing is wrong or tension pully going, anything else to check?

Exhaust was also blowing looks like some putty stuff was used to repair but its came off or something and some water was spitting out and we found traces of oil as well! thoughts on this

Fans were kicking in quite often but my guess to this could be just needs a top up of coolant/water

Really really need to get these issues sorted. Any help suggestions gladly appreciated

does soung like the head gasket, saxos are prone to it lol, probably why it was sold on, can you see where the oil on the sump is comin from?

looks like its coming from the rocker gasket took it to a mates house to find out that, seems to be leaking at the back. On the way home a load of white smoke came out of the back and lost idle called out pickup, he checked under and found out put too much oil in, managed to drive it home with the recovery van following, just got to my home and it cut out again, so guesses are more than the gasket not good :(

Going to take it to J&K Autos in Maidenhead, just trying to get hold of the main guy's mobile number atm
