:wall: Driving me nuts!
Me and my mates went for a drive tonight like we always do on a Sunday night. Went to Brownhill's KFC and on the way back we pulled over on this road to have a chat about where to go next and all of a sudden a police van pulled up on the road next to us with its lights on:wacko:
One got out the van and was having a word with my mate who was in his car behind me...I was so confused about what was going on and suddenly the driver got out and told me and my mate in front to drive on or he'll give us a secion 59!!!WTF is up with that? I said could you tell us what you pulled our mate for and he said you have 5 seconds to move...
Talk to my mate when he caught up with us and said that the copper said to him as soon as he got out the van,
"Sick of you bloody boyracers around this area!Give me all your details."
He said to him "I have took your registration, if i see you around here again you will get and asbo and we might crush your car!"
seriously will someone enlighten me on why they have nothing better to do?We weren't even driving when he pulled over so he had no chance in hell on doing us for some sort of driving offence!
RANT OVER!

Sounds to me like a moody Copper. Well were you doing anything wrong? Blocking somewhere? Loud Music? Flashing lights anything? As a section 59 is something that is classed as wrong to do on the road that may upset people etc. E.g. wheel spins, handbrake turns etc.

We were pulled over on the side of the ride. Neatly parked, no lines on the road, engines off and everything!
We were driving perfectly fine, twice as cautious as usual because we know what the cops are like on a Sunday night!I was well pissed off tbh :n:

if you are being treated poorly by an officer, or if they speak to you in an unprofessional manner you can speak to a senior member of the force over issues.

I got pulled over last night ''Turning left too quick at traffic lights''.. Fact is i wheeled spin off (Nice smooth propper tarmac so great :D) saw copper as soon as i went ronud corner so slowed to 30 and thought SHIT.. as i already had 2 pints earlier so thought i may be breathalised as its chrim,bo time.. Stuck his lights on and pulled down a side street.. Told me off and my excuse was i'm a new driver.. i let go of the clutch too quick and had to press the gass to stop my self kangerooing and stalling. He believed me and let me go.
Although.. They did get out and laugh at the Saxperiece.co.uk.. I never asked why or what ever or he didn't menton anything.. Smeed an alright pair of OB tbh.
My car's been tagged now... All of them will be on the lookout if i miss behave (Not the first time... Racing down the river with a corsa)
Btw.. Bedfordshre Poice had the worst Police Force in the country last year :D:D:D

you are a class A nobhead!!!
on another note, around where i live there are certain places groups of cars can't park up due to numerous counts of street racing... i don't see much point in just driving round now tbh unless there are a few cars and you have planned to go somewhere for the day, maybe that is just me?

The thing about a section 59 is all they have to have one person willing to put a complaint in writing and they can give you one. These can be any one form a CCTV operator to a police officer. The police are trying to crack down on dangerous and disrespectful driving. Speeding, wheel spin, undertaking, racing, blocking roads, cutting people up, power sliding, being in the wrong lane and so on, noise and so on can all get you a section 59. Asking for the officers number will not help but if he gives you a section 59 its on the paperwork. Also its on his arm anyhow.

Yes Dan that's a better example because obviously you may have more blood in your body than I have in mine so a bottle of beer would affect me more than you. Dunno about you but I notice enough to not drive
Ryan

* 80 milligrammes (mg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of blood (80mg/100ml), or
* 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath, or
* 107mg of alcohol per 100ml of urine

One bottle doesn't really affect me. I rarely bother drinking if i'm driving though. I don't really socially drink as such. More drink to get pissed.

i go off it takes 1 hour to remvoe 1 unit of alochol from your body. If i'm driving an am out, i'll have one pint and not drive until 30mins to 1 hour after i've finished it.

TBh it should be '0' Drink Driving! not even allowed 1 sip of beer.

You should be a little more aware of things like this. You got stopped and you're very lucky you didn't get breathalised this close to Christmas. A few drinks isn't worth the money you pay in some pubs/restaurants let alone your license

Personally, i never drink not even half when im driving.
If i had an accident and say someone was killed or injured, If i had a drink before that, even if im under the legal limit i couldn't help but blame myself, "oh what if i didnt have that half, maybe i could have reacted quicker and not hurt someone."
dannyboy2005, I can speak for alot of people. Your a cock, hopefully you write youself off and not some innocent law abiding person, because that seems to be the way things go in the world today.

But has anyone ever done it, and got results?.
And as for the drink drivers out there, its always about yourselves. Your own license getting lost, your own job. Never about mum & dad burrying their son/daughter.... but thats why you drink and drive, Your selfish wankers and i hope you all get fucked.

They should make it like some places in europe, where your not even aloud one drink when your driving. Stop people having one then thinking aaah one more wont do any harm.

or the woman or man you've just scudded (smacked, ranover) with a pram and then you realise that was you're girlfriend, boyfreind, partener, hubby or wifey with you're child in the pram ..........please have a think before you do cause next time it could be!!!!!!!!
as for the Rozzers send a written complaint to the local force headquarters so if there is 4 of you in the car and every one can clearly see/hear whats going on and there willing to back you then thats the best thing to do, keep calm and talk in a calm manner it annoys them more when you do this, remember the Rozzers are a public service and arnt a law unto them selfs!!!!
Edit:- slammed try telling that to the guy in my street that got his car written off 3 weeks ago wi a drunk driver!!!

i don't know if anyone's pointed this out yet but you're wrong, it's different for men an women the legal limit blown is 35mg of alchol in a 100mg specimen of breath, for men (dependin on their size, weight age, food eaten that day etc) this is usually between 1 and 2 pints of alcohol, for general safety and lack of risk a male is advised to drink no more than a pint and a half of avergae percentage beer and wait half an hour before driving, the average for women is about half less then men, so that comes to a half to a pint of beer, go read some science :)

Half a pint is a more accurate 'estimate' that a pint and a half for a male as that is 3 units. It also takes on average an hour per unit...

Yes, when it is said a half pint is 1 unit it means beer that is that weak it tastes like water lol
Like I said, a bottle of average Carlsberg is 1 unit and that's a 330ml bottle. Dunno what Stella is but it's 1% or more stronger so even a bottle would see you over the limit
