not seen that, i mean they are the nicest cars on here, asin clean, and well kept, for amount of effort gone into a car on here, there will be a fair few front runners that have put alot of work and effort into them, but people dont notice them because no one will sit and read about them, just look at pictures.
I do enjoy a good read when theres alot of technical bizzle in amongst the pizzle's

It was one of the best on the site.
It did have the gay curved spoke MOs though, and a gay standard engine & suspension!

I need to dig out a quote from somewhere, its something like a 'race winning car is a pretty car'....

much more fun to fiddle with an engine than bugger on with body work.
Thats why i want to put a front mounted intercooler on the 306, give me a good day of getting my hands dirty again, then i get a day of live mapping and rolling road :P
Ryan

I prefer to get out there and drive them lol!
a day spent cleaning is a days wasted driving :D
smiith

but you have to fiddle to get the engine to perfection before you get the good driving out of it... no?

not if its running right, shouldnt need to constantly be fiddled with.

more fun if you constantly fiddle though :P always something you can make abit better

not if it runs right, fiddling wont make it better, my one i cant do little things to make it a lil better really :(
An oil and filter change at shorter life spans is better for the engine but allways fiddling for the sake of it wont :P

I just love high revving NA ;)

yeh, i have to admit my saxo was so much more fun to drive, the fact you could drop it to 3rd at 75 to go around a corner faster, and the derv dropping off boost at 4k, not as much fun.
But at this moment in time, its whats best for me, im sure in a year when im 21, and theres only 6 months untill points come off il be able to get another petrol high revving car, and maybe be able to afford some track fun

sadly, as me and yates were talking about the other day, alot of threads now are just turning into "iv just cleaned the car, this is what it looks like" instead of more hands on stuff people would like to see, but suppose its not what we want to see out of peoples cars, its what they want to do with them

That's it at the end of the day. People can complain about lexus lights and silly 17"'s, but their car is theirs and they can do what they like with it.
Kinda how the site has gone with about 40% of users actaully owning saxo's. I guess it shows how much of a site this is without the car aspect as just a community alone.
I know I'll keep a story on mine when it comes to it, got provisional forms here infront of me :p

im not been arsed to make progress on the 306, as no one will really be too fussed about what happens with a diesel, was thinking i may put up the installation of the intercooler, but not sure il even bother with that

il take some pics while im fitting things, but atm its just returning bodywork to standard so nothing to report, the only real things will be the intercooler then the map, then see how she goes

Sounds good. See the thing about people posting up steps of what their doing, it's not only interesting to see progress but also learning etc, for me anyways.
