a bit of help,,i had to weld a new exhaust bkt on the rear of me vtr,,and wen i finished i came to start her to no avail,,,and noticed the fuel pump was primeing,,,and then noticed a warning light on me dash,,it looks like a rectangle with a key on it,,,anybody got any ideas???

maybe the welding went for the ecu, disconnect your battery for ten mins then try it.

that could be your problem then mate you should alaways disconnect the battery before you weld

do you have a keypad immobiliser or the transponder in they key?

there is no key pad,,so gessin it in the key,,and yes it turns over,,but wont fire up,,as the petrol pump aint primeing

hmm sounds like an immob problem, and you say you have disconeected it for over 10 mins and tried again?

yep,,,,,only thing i can think of is getten it diagnosed,,,,,,but means money which im short of at moment as xmas has almost wiped me out

If you disconect the battery for a few hours it resets i think

well that was the first thing i furt,,but im gessing it has bin by passed or something because i cant find,,it not ware it should be anyway,,,

its next to the passenger side strut big red or black button!
dont think its safe to be bypassed anyhow!!

yh i found ware it was supposed to be but it not there,,and i would of thought the same about it not being safe,,but i ve heard of people doin it anyhow,,,
