I recently found out my Ecu is the problems to my car not starting, has anyone got a spare vtr single plug ecu for sale and plus any one got any ideas on how much it will cost to get coded? cheere guys

mate its not to easy finding a place to code an ecu. this happened on my oldvts and ended up paying citroen nearly a grand fora new ecu and codeing.it sat in an auto electrics garage previous to that for nearly 4 months coz he couldnt solve the problem. good luck though

who told you that?
You can have your current one sorted for about 80 quid at citroen!
have you tried resetting it by unplugging the battery and turning ignition on!?

yer tried it quite a few times but no such luck, ill give citroen a call next week and see how much it will cost.

shite,couldnt you of got it mapped for less than that
that was the problem,no 1 around london could map ity witout it being running.and i think the fella where it was just wanted to bleed me dry

what goods mapping they only change the manufactures engine map nothing to do with how the ecu works, you can get the ecu's on ebay but if your going to get a ecu you will need the key that was with that ecu i.e they need to be a matched pair because they are transponded keys. hope this helps

rang citroen up today and said i needed a new ecu a separate ecu control box or somthing and all coded for around 400 quid i just want to cry as all i have done is spend money on it trying to get it running right.

Speak 2 Bluehawk Electronics Nottingham. They can test, repair unlock ur ecu what ever it needs. Unlocking costs about £85. Heers the website..... www.bluehawkelectronics.co.uk

cant you just unlock these yourself with a mate and the same car???? read loads of post on conversion threads saying this
