Im currently working at sainsburys and in the near future im looking into excavator driving. My dad does it and drives drived tracked machines at aroung 5-30 tonne mainly for a firm called morgen est.
But im not sure where to start..i was wandering if anyone knew of any training providerers or any stories how they got into driving machines.
My dad got into it by off chance and is not sure how i can get into it as everyone wants good drivers..

Best thing to do would be to contact the companies who make the equipment, so in your case someone like Kubota etc and they normally run courses themselves across the country. I know for a fact the Stihl do these types of things with chainsaws and disc cutters

Well I think it depends on the size of the equipment, I think you'd be ok up to a certain size excavator and then after that you'll have to wait till 21. I maybe wrong though buddy
