sorry if this is the wrong section,

i crashed my ph1 vts on christmas eve, in adsa car park, genuinly going no faster that 20mph. ( edit: i was not or at any point doing handbrake turns, i only went in to the toilet )

i somehow managed to hit one of those square bits of pavement which usually have a tree of something in it, but this one had nothing :wall: the lighting over that side of the car park was balls, which was probably why neither me or my mate spotted it!:(

the airbags went off and we were sitting there thinking '' WTF just happened? '' until a guy in the car park came over and said '' i just hit that too '' !!

anyway.. the sinister bit :wall: apart from the airbags, i can work that out myself, the car now refuses to go into 1st, 2nd and you have to hold it in 3rd, all linkages are straight etc so im stumped :S could this possibly be a dead engine mount which has pushed the engine out of alinement?

the sump is proper caved in, but not cracked. when i started the car after i hit it it was ticking loudly, i put this down to the bent sump restricting oil feed to the pick up pipe, does this seem right or is there possibly more too it that that?

last up, my dash now looks luike a christmas tree, airbag light, oil light, water temp light thing and traction control ( i think ) light are now on, what would have caused this? will i be able to remove the lights with a diagnostics reader?

thanks for any replys or advise in advance, im proper gutted :(

ally.

best bit is to get it down a garage to do a diognostic replace the sump, the garage will tell whether the engine is sitting back in the engine,

and pics of the engine bay maybe someone on here will notice whether it is sittin back in the bay

unlucky though fella

airbags are easy enough to replace*
might have jumped the cogs in the gearbox, take it apart see if they are intac
maybe even the shifter on the underside of the car or possible the gearnob itself

the rear engine mount is twisted so i reckon once i change that i should have gears etc again.

just need the pick up, it looks expensive :( lol

ive got a reader so once its sorted i can wipe the codes, so that wont cost me anything :)

doubt ill replace the airbags, a steering wheel boss surely must be cheaper and i have a momo wheel lying about some where lol

the mrs did this to my 106 and had flattened the engine mount underneath dont forget the pretensioners on the seat belts as well as they will of gone of apart from that i would of thought that the saxos dont have traction controll just abs but if the mount is bust it would of moved the shafts putting that light on and check your rad hoses for the water light should be cheap enough fix though least its not paint and panels and at least your both ok!!

the traction control light will probably be your engine management light so you will be able to get rid of that with code reader.

But airbag light you wont, you need to solder in a resistor some where im sure there is a guide somewhere!
