1.4 Saxo

Ive been looking at a 1.4 which i thought was a furio, im not too sure now. Hopefully someone could help me out here..

Its an X reg year 2001, 1.4. It has VTR door badges and im not sure of interior but electric wingmirrors too. I know anyone could do this to a normal furio! The thing that makes me think it isnt a normal furio is, the hpi check came back sayin citreon saxo LX 1.4. Ive been told there are imports which are VTR's but 1.4, Is this one of these or am i just being stupid?? Another thing is, on directline insurance, when i put the reg of this one in, it wont give me a quote, when i put a reg of the same year furio off autotrader, it gives me a quote :S

i would avoid mate!!! should be a furio if its a 1.4 but mine has no electric wing mirrors and vtr badges ? then hp is 1.4 lx should'nt be saying that tbh.

so it shouldnt say LX ? what does LX mean? the hpi check was clear though, and identical to the details the guy gave me. avoid then?

So whats the difference between a LX and a Furio ??

EDIT: Found out LX means the trim level, i.e its not the minimum, it has PAS, electric windows, sunroof and so on.

On parkers it says that 1.4's can be SX but nothing about an LX

not sure mate, the lx dosn't come with vt kit iirc could explain why it has vtr badges but there again its unlikely some one would covert the 1.4i lx into a furio

Its got the VT kit, just where the door badges normally say SAXO on furios, it says VTR. I know these can be changed easily, but why would someone that hasnt modded the car in the slightest put those on it? makes me wonder? and ive never seen a furio with Electric mirrors?

nah somone has stuck the vtr badges on as it probably comes with LX i think LX might be automatic not sure give it a check...

you can get like 1.4 saxos which are flat arches cant ya (3&5door)

the imported 1.4 vtr and 1.4 vts's have electric mirrors i think also

Its manual, ive test driven it.. and its got the VT kit.. any ideas??

i think its fine, i just think this LC model must be like upgraded things like interior and elec mirrors, but the only thing is, this may put the insurance up, as these nice lil mods will be registered with the car.

I have, cheapest ive found so far is 2400 a year third party fire n theft in my own name :( need a bit cheaper..

thats pretty good tbh thats what iv had cheapest, try insurance conexions my mates paying £1000 for 6 months then its less after 6 months or sumti lol

Yeah its not too bad really for my own name, just cant afford to pay £204 a month for insurance lol.. if it was £2000 or less i would probs pay it.. trying my best to get it lower cant think of any more to try now..

Ahhhh its not a furio, thats why!!!! i just put the reg into an insurance site, and it brought the model up, its a SAXO VTI ?? never heard of a VTI before lol..

the insurers say to me on the phone "citreon saxo VTI" im like erm yeah thats it :| ..looking for a furio now, VTI must be dearer insurance because of the "LUXURY" haha

Well a VTI is basically a 1.4 saxo but the LX model not the furio.. Its just got better things like elec mirrors, interior etc... nothing special, but makes the insurance a bit dearer
