reverse lights stuck on!

jst looked at the back of my car and the reverse lights seam 2 be on all the time ,iv taked the bulbs out for now does any one no what could be causeing this?

My mate had the opersit problem with the light not comeing on. It happend to be a wight plug on the back of the gearbox

Reversing switch. Simply its a sensor that senses when the car is in reverse and they occasionally get stuck as yours has.
