rite i went to lower my car this morning and incurred problems.firstly the t40s stripped there heads,that wasnt a problem as i just managed to chisel them out,then the offset washers wouldnt budge so heated them up and eventually they moved.now on2 the big issue.dreaded torsion bars,i heated them up till they were glowing and put the slide hammer on them.after over an hour pounding on the hammer they still never budged.then to my dissapointment the bolt snapped in the torsion bar.my mate tried drilling it and fucked the bar.was pretty stressed by this stage so decided to put it back together only to break the heads off 3 t40s:wall: so now my axle is fucked and still cocked in the air.seriously guys dont try it unlessyour full sureu can

exactly the same happended onmine mate. I have to buy a new rear beam now! stub pins fucked, so woulda been a waste of time and money lowering it anyway!

my stubs ar fine,was well confident bout doin it as well. been studying the axler for ages.just pissed that its still not dropped

sounds like a right ball ache tbh i was thinking i could do mine earlier but for 120 id rather take it to a garage then its there fault!!

where did u get quoted 120? every wherei have been is btween 250 and 400.thats why i decided to do it myself.ill lower my new axle on the ground first

some places do it for £40 mate. Search around for more quotes!

birmingham mate sorry! id would of had a crack at it myself if it was gonna cost 400
