Hello there, i wonder if any body could help me please.
i have a 1.1i standard R reg saxo, and the back box is blowing quite a lot.
the back box has some kind of stub which slots into the flared end of the centre pipe and has a clamp around this section and it is blowing from there.
i have tried to gum it up the best i can but yet she still blows.
is there any way i can hacksaw the flare of the centre pipe and the stub off the backbox and obtain a piece of pipe and join them together with exhaust clamps.
i apologise if i have come through to the wrong discussion board

thanks

Putting in a new piece isnt a great idea. Assuming it is the join and one of the pipes has not rusted through (a common problem) then tighten up your clamp. Alternately what you have done so far should suffice. Placing sealant between the 2 pipes before you tighten the clamp is sure to fix it, if it is done correctly.
