Well got pulled over last night for the first time ever by the police for doing 55 on a dual carrige way wich I thought was a 60 but police pointed out to me that it was a 50. Anyway they were very understanding about it and did a check on vehicle and took my name and address but never asked to see my driving license and told me to get on my way wich I thought was very reasonable of them. Just wanted to no if I could expect anything else to come of this. Cheers.

I wouldn't expect anything to be honest, unless they are sly and sent you a speeding ticket which i doubt

Just trying to fill their quotas now before the New Year comes in. Driving late at night, hopefully a drink driver.

Would of given you notification of intended prosecution if they wer going to take it further.
TBH 55 in a 50 isn't something most police would bother about as they tend to allow around 10% for speedo inaccuracy. Probably more of a random stop/check to make sure you hadn't been drinking etc

nah dont worry bout it mate.there is a 5mph tolerence on the speed limit of a main road anyway.its zero tolerence in residental and built up areas.if they were gonna do u they would have served u wit a penalty notice.they were obviously just bored.i only no this because my sis is a copper in ireland....it has its advantages lol

Dual's can be any speed limit if stated. One just done the road from my house has been changed to 50 in the last year - near the Uni & lot of accidents happened with people trying to cross the road.
