Hi
I was ready to make a spark plugs renewal following Haynes guide.
But when I disconnected the breather hose from the air cleaner housing-to-throttle body duct, one of the connections of the plastic retaining broke :wall: (a little plastic tube with an almos insignificant hole in it)

Now I have to find this spare part, but I don't really know how to call it or what to ask for.

I 've been googling spare parts in many english and french pages but they dont seem to have it. Or at least they don't have pictures of it.

Does anyone know how and where I can get one of them and what I should ask for?

Which model of Saxo do you have mate? And what does the pipe connect to either end (just to try & figure out which one it is).

Hi al_VTR

It is a 1.4i januar 2000.
The pipe comes from the air cleaner housing goes stright into the top of the motor. But the retaining connection has a nother connection that goes to the carburator may be (?)
I just took a picture, I am figuring out how to put it on the thread.

Sounds like the breather pipe mate, which comes from the inlet manifold (i think), across the top of the engine & then into the filter housing.

Mines also split at the top of the engine & its been running fine. I've not managed to find a new pipe anywhere on the internet but haven't gone into anywhere yet.

Probably worth driving to your local EuroCarParts or Unipart & asking them. Sure someone will have one.

EDIT: Found an old picture of mine. Is it the pipe marked 1?

YES! Thats the one
I wonder if the car will take damage driving it without this connection...
I have to practice this of uploading pictures (and changing spark plugs aswell!)
Here is the link to the picture anyway

wish it was just the hose clip mate. If it's the same as mine the rubber pipe has actually split through.

Should drive ok, mine doesn't seem to have done any harm. But i don't like it flapping around so will be getting a new one at some point.

Hi Scott
Sounds like the magic words for me. "crankcase breather hose clips"
But do I have to specify which of them they are? Or it's fine writting that?
Did you take a look at my picture?

i'd call it the 'cam/rocker cover breather hose connector'...

Just take a drive to your nearest citroen dealer, if they dont understand what you are asking for, take someone outside and point it out on the car. It shouldnt cost too much!!

Hi again

So, it is done now. :A:

I went to a citroen dealer and got a new part for £12. Not cheap, for a little piece of hose but not bad either.

Allan, the part number is (P)1192.Q5 and there is a text in the packing "RACCORD VAP HUI". May be that is in french, since it says made in France.

Thanks guys for your help.

Cheers for the tip off mate. Mine's slightly different but can't see it being much more than £12 either.

Glad yours got sorted.

Allan, I am pretty sure that the one I bought is the same that the one in your picture marked with number 1.
