First of all what is simo's vts turbo's 0 - 60???

Scenario....simo is mindin his own business on the motorway cruisin down to a show or sumthin, an arrogant m3 driver decides to show off his 338 horses

what would be the outcome of a race between simo's saxo and the m3.

I have seen loads of turbo saxo vids whooping ass on 1/4 miles strips against M3's. Might have just been the fact that the driver of the M3 was a granny driver or something. smileys/smiley5.gif

i think the m3 would win as they can get a lot more top end. think they do 160 to 180. dont quote me on that tho.

it'd be close if both floored it in 3rd gear, but agree as above^^^^ the m3 would pull away top end.

in gear the saxo would rip away but would get reeled in eventually. Look at the saxo m3 vid, the m3 gets pelted in midrange and even passes it from a standing start

hmm interesting asnswers, id expect the saxo to be quicker than that to 60 tho, id of thort more like 5 secs considering how light it is and with 200+ bhp thats gotta shift!

ive read a few posts on other websites about the top speed of the vts, apparently the vts with adequate (or however u spell it) power with a vtr bottom end can top 165mph i think i saw a tuned vts for sale sumwere with a spare vtr bottom end for high top end. neone???

oh and @ scott...where the m3 vid plz?

vts with vtr gearbox will hit 163mph on the limiter in 5th if it has the power to get there.

no i had a 1997 vts...i had 140 out of it once on the way back from hull. (did have a slight downhill section) but i could always get 135 no question. i also got a true 132mph that was with a road angel 2 in my car.

if anyone questions the "had" i had to sell it because i owned it when i was 19 and couldnt afford the insurance and the house i bought together. getting another one definately when i can afford it thought they are amazin cars.

ill never forget the looks on those snotty business mens faces when a little saxo whooped there flash audi's or bmw's!! haha

a standard vts with a vtr gear box would never manage the 160 in a million years. It has to have a bit more oomph behind it to hit the 163

simo's saxo was timed at 6.02 secs i think corect me if im wrong.

I've got a '52 reg vts. It'll easily do 130mph with the standard box.

it will easily do 141mph with the standard box if you have the power to get to it
