Moded vtr vs zetec s???

My mate at work seems to think his fiesta zetec s is faster than my 03 vtr just because he drives faster than me. All he has is a powerflow rear box and ive got 4 2 1 mani, miltek system, piperx open filter, omp lower strut brace, lowered 50mm apex springs, grooved discs f+r with greenstuff pads, stripped rear with sparco buckets and 4points, quickshift! I think hes stupid for thinking this lol and most will, i just say ask anyone and they will agree with me!

On my last sprint event, i had to go up against (among others) a clio 182 and said feista in my VTR. I got beat by both and was driving out of my skin (see pic)
Mines fitted with gpn billies, 24mm ARB and fully polybushed so i was able to retain some dignity on the corners so i can only assume they have much more power to get their time down on the straights.

no idea about the old style though, 1600's arent they?

There are times and places where you can get away with a quick, short blast. And if you say you'vee never done it, you talk crap (no offence unless you get arsey after :P) but i've heard so many people say they dont give it some beans time to time... and then a week later 'ugh, i rolled my car'.

this is very true think every one gives there car a lil blast now and again else we wouldn't be driving sports models of cars we love and all be driving 1.0 liters or getting the bus :P no harm in a lil fun we all do it when were young but just be safe. i can honestly say i cant be arsed with that sort of driving on roads now as im to woried about getting stone chips on me front bumper etc and abit of a grandad n stick to speed limits and just laf at other chavs trying to get me to race, it is tempting at times tho when there being proper dicks, you just wanna try put them in the place lol

Agreed, I have owned VTS and Zetec S - and the VTS went in favour of the Zetec S, but then people on here are bound to be bias towards the Saxo, but I notice the arguements on here are all penis extension related like "it is slow as fuck" and "my 8v will piss all over it". Do it the other way round, ask the same question on ZSOC and it would be sensible arguements against the saxo like "you'll die in on of those if someone hits you"

Both basic cars, saxo is a tad quicker, but miles more unsafe and fewer luxuries, but hey you live life only once:)

im a big fan of zetec s fiestas. if they had abit more poke about them (say about the same power as a vts as standard) i would have one instead of my vts. they are very nice cars tbh.

Vtr feels quicker, but its between drivers.

A zetec S can be made as quick/quicker then a VTS fairly easily from what ive been told too.

3 of my close pals had ZS's 1 i used to beat easish, the other 2 were a handful and it was between drivers.

Zs is better built, also handling is almost the same as a spaxo if not better from my experience in both..
