i bought a haynes manual and worked my way though the steps to get the driveshaft out,i drained the gearbox.. not much in there at all either:S got to the 3 bolts holding the hanger type bit just off the block and i cant seem to pull the driveshaft out... im gonna smash it with sumthing soon coz its doing my head in.... not happy so my question is, is there anything not covered in the haynes manual that i mite have to do to get it out ??
one thing thats doing my head in is its a 4speed box and im sure a vtr driveshaft wouldnt fit right in it ? maybe the person before has wacked it in to sell it,i bought it and now its givin up... new gearbox ?? or use different shafts..the list off problems just adds and adds...
but it does look awsome slammed :P atleast that went well.

success !!!!!!!!!!!
i managed to pry the shaft hanger from the block and freed up the shaft slid out easy
now ive relised what the problem was the bearing inside the hanger had grinded away to pretty much nothing could move it 2-3 mm each way and when turned by hand made the sound id been trying to pin point horrible grinding sound with a loud click to it :S ewwwww
this is what was left of the bearing

next problem now is do i renew the hanger as it looks like the bearing has grinded away abit on the hanger so when i fit the new shaft mite not fit flush.
also will a new shaft come with the hanger ? and all nessasery parts ?
i used euro car parts and they sent me this....WA~@ERS
