was turning round on tesco car park tonight and I stopped a minute to answer my phone and when I went to pull off there was a massive clunk from my engine, I shit myself, so I got out and had a look at the obvious problems such as my engine mount and driveshafts and they appeared fine so I started my car again and went to pull off and there was a crunching noise and a judder from my engine so I put it in neautral and gave it a rev and it sounded as if my thrush bearing was running around my gearbox, and now when I go to pull off it judders and crunches so it's not driveable, and the noise ain't there if I put the clutch down and roll the car!
could the thrush bearing be what the problem is?
any help will help! lol
cheers jd!

If you just got a new clutch it wont be that, i think your gear box is ka-fucked.... can you get it into gear?? any pull at all?? when it goes clunk, does the gear stick wobble alot??

it will go into gear but it won't pull of it will just judder and makes a horrible whinning noise. it wobbles abit but it's kinds hard to pull back out of gear.

thrust bearing and its not in your gear box (with the gears) its just outside behind your clutch plate. and yes mate it sounds like its gone. you can just change the bearing but your clutch will go a couple of weeks later and you will be payng for a new one again. change the lot with a clutch kit. can get them for about 80 quid. hope this helps mate

Gearbox mate, sounds like the syncro is fooked, but you may aswell get a new clutch put in at same time.
Cause when my gearbox went on one of my VTR's it knackard the clutch also.
just provide the gearbox and clutch kit yourself works out alot cheaper then you asking the garage to provide them for you.
i might be wrong but ive had 2 VTR's where gearboxes had gone.
