Well my car is coming tommorow afternoon. And well, insurance, i just purchase that online and its insured from tommorow instantly? Do i need to print anything for that?

Tax, okay well i havent got all the docs yet so i cant tax online right now, if i did tax online would i be able to park it online without the disc whilst waiting for it to come through?

Or should i just ask my neighbor if i can park it on there drive whilst i grab a tax disc from the PO?

Print your insurance off.. you will recieve originals through the post at a guess..

Wait for your docs to come through untill taxing.. beacuse although you have tax.. not displaying it whilst parking on a road is an offence...

Don't need to print anything off for insurance, it will show on database that you are.

As for tax, you should be able to apply for it tomorrow online or if they post documents 1st class they should be here tomorrow. If you do it online, it's up to you if you wanna drive without displaying tax.

Post office only usually acept official documents, not the ones u print off urself, as for doing it online, the databases can take a while to update, i got my insurance docs the next day cause i phoned up early enough

PO only accept originals and nothing less.

Yes, you'll get into trouble and MAX of £1000 fine too.

It's up to you mate, I'd ring insurance back up, see if they are sending 1st class today and then you could go to PO to tax tomorrow.

Hi mate I actually work in an insurance company...

You will show up on the MIB (Motor Insurance Database) as insured on that vehicle as from tomorrow.

Tax, you will need documentation and some post offices are a bit funny with printed documents.

However, at my company we only print off black and white documents anyway. So I think taxing should be fine with a printable version.

Cheers guys :) hopefully my insurance will come through tommorow then, if not ill have to tax it online, there isnt really anyway around it as i dont have any off road parking where i live :(

weird that the car never came with a few months tax

i thinkif you taxed it online and printed out your confirmation and left that where the tax disc should be you should be ok, as long as your not driving around. if you do get a fine you will have a better chance of appeal if you at least have something of proof in the window

Thats what ill do, my neighbor is letting me park on his pull in for a bit, gunna put the confirmation in the windscreen, not going to drive it anyway till the weekend, but when i put it on the road im just gunna put a big towl over the windscreen to stop it getting iced up lol ;);)

Yeah haha i thought it was a pretty good idea :D will keep the conf in the windscreen though :) then the tax disc should be here by friday id hope! :)
