what do you guys make of them?

been offered one for my vts...

I gather the fun factor wont be there compared to the vts, but to me its more grown up etc etc which is the route i may be looking at taking.

Basically the one i've been offered has done 108k...i hate high mileage cars usually, but were talking Audi, not Citroen...lol

Its pretty standard bar S3 wheels, full leather interior, although a rip in the driver's seat. Also has a dump valve.

Cambelt is about to be done.

Unsure if the chap said FSH or not...

Nice car but is it a straight swap. I'd value that at around £2800ish. Depends on service history.

if they are in the same nick you would be silly not to, the 1.8t is a great car.

I drove one for a night whilst someone borrowed my car. Same spec as that one except it had those big flat faced alloys on it.

Handling was fucking terrible, bodyroll central. It was quite fast but it didnt feel it, its very smooth which takes the fun out of it imo.

On the plus side they look lush, feel well built and you get a lot of looks. But I couldnt own one as its like driving a tug boat

VTS would be more fun to drive. Personally I would keep that with the Audi having 108k

I was looking at that one it said he wants to part ex with a saxo vts..

VTS would be quicker but vts is a bag of shit compared to an A3 and the likes, go for it mate. Im getting rid of mine for something like that soon

Wrong shape A3.
Going to be worth nothing once the 2nd hand market on the current shape picks up.

Decent motors with plenty of potential. Just that some old high-miles examples are dogs, so I'd get it thoroughly checked out first.

Jamie- sounds like some anti-A3 vengeance there :P

n00b.

If it looks like a shitter i wont park next to it especially not now try paint matching a orange car. People in this area in particular will bump there cars on others because 'thats what bump strips are for' over here,.

Tbh i go as far away from cars as possible.

My old sax/206 suffered an onslaught of people clacking there shitters on it.

i park next to shit cars just to do "Richard Hammond" style car door opening into them.

Irish numberplates on a shogan mean you never get left a note.
You like dags?

keep the S, the straight swap deal sounds too good and with the rip in the seat youre already looking at a few hundred to repair it, also with a dump valve its likely your mate loves to hit the gas pedal to hear that tamborine go off in the high street so i wouldnt expect it to be well maintained.
