Firstly, iam thinking about smoothing out the side repeater on the front arches of my kit.

Will i get away with not having any side repeaters?

Will i have to move them higher up as the law says i need them?

Will i get away with having side repeaters on my wing mirrors?

Secondly, iam thinking of smoothing my boot & putting the registration plate on my rear bumper.

Does the rear registration plate need to be lit up or will i get away with it not being lit up?

Both MOT failures espicaly side repeaters....

If you have E-marked indicators on mirrors as Alicia says this will be OK... smileys/smiley17.gif

My boot is smoothed and I fixed my numberplate to the mesh on my Dimma rear bumper and did not have any form of light on it and it failed its MOT.....now I have light bolts fitted to it..... smileys/smiley2.gif

Do them light bolts give off enough light to light the whole registration plate? & wont they be an mot failure as they arent meant for road usage are they?

Adam mate, is the any possibility you could take a photo of the rear of your car in the dark with the bolt lights lit?

Also do the cops not bother you about it, i thought that them bolt lights were just for show use only, dont want to be getting pulled by the cops now?

Also where did you get them from, will any bolt lights do the job or do they have to be special 1's?

EDIT. Also what colour do they have to light up?

side repeaters on the wing mirrors is legal if their emarked..just look at the new golf and honda jazz for example they have them as standard!and yes you need to light your rear plates.bolt lights should be ok but if you want to be 100% certain go for the standard lights used you can pick them up cheap as chips! smileys/smiley2.gif

Was thinking about doing the same to my rear number plate! Whats the best way to light it up, attach bulbs to the old wires or what? smileys/smiley5.gif
