i was originally looking at 182's, now for whatever reason im considering cheap motoring...
can possibly get a brand new fiesta 1.4 zetec for 30% of book price, so £6.5k for a brand new car with warranty etc with very cheap finance.
am i stupid changing my mind from a 182 to a fiesta? im thinking the amount i can get discounted will surely cover whatever money it will loose within the 3 years i have finance on it so i shouldnt loose too much money if any!
i have a vtr at the minute and rarely use the power it has, and the 1.4 zetec has similar power anyway but much better mpg and a hell of a lot better than the clio but it would be nice to have it!
what would you guys do?

The very new shape Fiestaz are hanging imo...
Mate has a diesel Zetec S one of the last shape... looks tidy enough, few subtle touches and they can look pretty smart.

well, mate of mine is looking for a focus and we were at the dealers and i saw a white zetec fiesta and really liked it, looked much better in the metal than in pics and the interior is ace. now he tells me he can get 30% off and im very fucking tempted

The VTRs mpg aint bad at all, if you drive sensibly. Upto you really but finance blows ass.

i know the mpg in my vtr isnt bad, im saying the fiesta will be better than the 182.
dont see a problem with finance, its not much and i can afford it and the car will probably be worth at least what i pay for it for a good couple of years

sounds like a very good deal! remember though fiestas within a year or two get really common, not only that with the current economic situation you will most likely still loose money on that fiesta if they are selling them for that low a price! personally your saxo is calling you, don't abondon her!:y:

In 3 years time the economy will have changed and the cars will probably appreciate value again. Good time to buy if you can afford it and have job security in my opinion..

Cars dont go up in value until they are rare.
Its the laws of supply and demand.

Agree with Cal the mk6 6.5 are alot nicer than the new mk7s.. they are actually ugly.. Before they came out the posters looked alright. But driving past them the colours arent as bright and they look a lil like the new corsa!
The mk6 zetec tdci is only 35 quid a year tax and 400+ miles to the tank :) an the mk6.5 are pretty nice, colour coded etc!

mk 6.5 is the same as a mk6 phase 2
Ford Fans try to be different.
