Strictly to the letter of the law... NO
BUT if you change the headlight unit as well to meet ECE 98 then the different glare created by the bulb should be counteracted.

They give off white light if its the xennon upgrades, the blue tint is a filter to reduce yellow light. They probably are E-marked aslong as there 60/55w the 100/80s are not road legal.

I had some cheap 'xenon' bulbs like that a while ago, they give out a whiter, and despite what people like to think... dimmer light. If you want real xenon you'll have to reach a little deaper in your pockets!!

the blue will not show when the bulb is on mate it only acts as a filter, you get a white light if they are xnenon bulbs, and if you have bought cheap ones off ebay the blue will soon burn off and you will end up with the standard yellow glare

i bought some of the blue sidelight bulbs for mine but to tell you the truth there was hardly any blue there. So i went elsewhere and bought a set with a blue led inside these were true blue and i mean blue but still have not been pulled for them as use full lights at night sidelights in day. I also have changed my rear number plate bulbs to red ones of these which I belive is illegal but havent been pulled yet. (btw I dont live in some quiet village with like 1 local bobby :D)

I doubt it, but tbf i've run illegal bulbs in my car for... probably nearly two years and had no problems with police what so ever. And they even passed MOT.
PS. Personally id use the white ones with a blue tint, like i do. Pure blue ones look amazingly shit!!

The sidelight bulbs are illegal as they emmit a blue colour.
The front of a car can only emmit White/Clear and Orange indicator bulbs (I dont know the exact degree of blue/white/clear mix for head lights, but sidelights have to be clear (not that mine are lol)).

They have he E13 marking though so legal, surely?
I was pretty sure they were anyway. It was just the sidelights I was iffy about.

i fitted them in my previous car, the level of light is much better and they havent got the horrible yellow look when turned on but they dont look like HID's.

Where did you get them from and were they sold to you as road legal? Odds are if its a reputable brand and they were sold as road legal they probably are. If there some unbranded junk odds are they are not. The law is quite clear that headlights and side lights must only be white or yellow in colour. They actually define the actual permitted spectrum of light but it sort of works out to be select yellow to a crisp cool white. If your lights are blue its a MOT fail (if its done correctly) and is illegal so the police can pull you for it.
