I got stopped by the police last night, coming back from tesco.

was stuck behind a guy coming up to a set of traffic lights and when it turned in to two lanes, i pulled across to get in lane to over take. Didn't think i was going too fast.

Had the glow on for literally the first time in a month. And then behind me appeared a cop car. I took off slowly but enough to over take the other car smileys/smiley15.gif, and then the blues went on.

Two women asked me to get outta the car, we stood and one asked

'are you in a hurry sir?'
'not really officer.'
'you came up to those lights a little fast though'
'really? I wasn't aware of that' (which is the truth)

Driver liscense was produced and details given, and then the quiet one asked me
'so where'ver you been'
'Just to tesco, bought a new cd'
'ah, what one, something from the chart?'
'*I LAUGHED* Yeah, Kanye West'

'NOT TOO EMBARRASING THEN'

And then i just pissed myself at that comment.

The other one came back with my documents and said
'You have a funny green light too,'
'*another laugh* yep'
'where's that then, i mean where's that fixed'
'under the car'
'under'
'yes, under'

'ok sir, you have a producer, show your documents within 7 days of 12 o'clock tonight or you'll be reported for the offences.'

'being what'
'speeding, i should have told you that at the start, sorry'
'ok, officer, thanks.'
'oh and turn off that green light too'

What a bloody fool I am, driving a bit fast and with my green lights on. This will sound stupid, but i'm only sorry i got caught, as even though i'm braking the law i hadn't hurt anyone, but i know my speed had the potential to do so.

it just made me laugh out loud, about their sheer unknowingness about the funny green light. and i thank my lucky stars for that!!!

i seriously couldn't have been doing much over 30 cos it was about 100metres from lights when i over took the guy and it was stop, so i was slowing down

so i'd say 35 poss 40.

That was serioulsy how it went though, and i couldn't help but laugh at some bits.

haha nice oz i've had a few "coversations" with the police when i've been pulled for routine spot checks n the like the stupidity of the average copper is really worrying half the time they dont even know the laws they try to enforce they must of just been bored it aint like you were drag racing with the guy or out like that

Well was just on my way to work this morning and was on a dual carriage way with 3 lanes doing the limit (40) and there was a mx-5 slowly overtaking me and a police behind me, they both passed me and then the police flashed lights for him to pull over....

Unless he was pulling him for doing 42 in a 40 zone there was nowt else to pull him for!!!! Maybe they were bored....... or maybe his lexus lights (legal) might have done it!!!

Just never know these days....

reminds me of wen i got good cop bad cop, got pulled doin 40 in a 30, well i went passed they turned round to follow me pulled me he was like how fast were u goin, i sed 35, woman cop turned round n sed bollocks u werent wot a load of shit, i was like ok cudnt say anythin cos i was speedin didnt wana b done, he sed i had a nice car n i shud take care of it n watch my speed cos i cud lose my license, she started sayin i was a shit driver for speeding, at this point a chav went passed n sed to her errreeeee u, u no how to boot that beamer dont u girl, i found it quite funny she wasnt happy tho! but he was fine with me n got let off

To top it all off guys,

I went in today to show my credentials, and the 50 odd year old behind the desk took my addy again, and got my date of birth all wrong, apparantly i was born in 1930, i didn't correct her.

I then conducted a little experiment.

i asked her, what offence i'd actually comitted, because teh officer had not made it clear.

The woman looked at the form i had been given, and said that the officer had not filled in that section. smileys/smiley3.gif

Maybe the officer took a liking to your car!!!</font> Was her next comment, and i just had to laugh.

She checked all my credentials, commenting on how my hair had changed, and that Tesco are good insurers.

I walked out of there thinking that i'm glad i don't have dealings with this quite incompetent poice force regularly.

i got pulled by a copper once for speeding. i was doing 67 in a 60 only thing was it took me 5 mins to get up to that speed. i was in me first car a 950 mk2 golf. i had to put me right foot on the clutch peddle and me left foot on the gear stick to get it into 1st gear. when he stoped me he asked
how fast do u think u were going
i said about 55mph
he said no u were doin 67
i said wow i didnt no it could go that fast
he just laghted and give me a producer.

All coppers are lazy fat gets in my eyes, all the do is work all day & when they get home the have a drink & go to bed, you'd atleast expect them to be doing some sort of training as some times they need to chase people on foot, all the coppers around here are all slow on foot, ive got some weight about me & i just about out sprinted one over a 200 metre all weather pitch by about 2", they need to grow up & do a proper job, stop the real criminals & stop wasting our time, just coz we drive nice cars that are modded up a little bit doesnt mean we are out to break the law, F**KIN ASS WIPES
