a good solicitor may be able to do something but in the end it's the driver that gets the points i suppose. may be worth looking into.

give it a try and see mate but if his details n the reg of the car are correct i'd say you havent really got that much of a chance

did a traffic car stop him?if the did they'll most likely have it on video so if it goes to court he'll probally get chrged with dangerous driving aswell i'd just take the points n walk away not worth more points n a bigger fine

it was an astra not traffic police, he had the choice to go to court or take set fine 3 points and 60quid fine

i was jus wonderin if there was any loophole that u cud get out of it cos they had wrong colour car thats all

aint too sure mate like sean said a good solicitor could probally expose one if theres a chance but it all seems like too much hassle when everything else like your mates details n the cars reg is correct n theres the chance he could end up with more than a 60 quid fine n 3 points if he goes to court n looses

no chance could a solicitor do anything about that, it wouldnt even get to court a judge would throw that right out the window IF the driver details and reg are correct it wouldnt matter if they had wrote down purple with white spots, whos to say your mate never had a respray the next day.

Your mate got 3 points for overtaking in an inappropriate position and speeding.

The producer is secondary and is to prove he was driving the car legally (insurance, tax, mot).

If he knows he's in the wrong I dont see there is any advantage in trying to pursue any other action. Pay up and produce.

Another route will more than likely dredge up more hassle and potentially more severe consequences.

yup i wreckon he would be worse off if went to court...as far as i can remember it is illegal to overtake on diagonal lines and should not be entered unless needed in an emergency!
