i agree that tevez should definitely being played more
but sorry one of the worst signings in history ? nah im not havin that
this guys skill and control is on another planet, the ball just sticks to him
he makes intricate and clever passes without even breaking a sweat
his style of play might not be in your face, he may be subtle but he is effective. plus he's only been here a few months
still....... like i said above i want to see tevez playing more, real class that guy

Yea but it is rare to see at least 3 goals because normal both the teams cancel each other out and the ball just hops to and fro between midfield odd shot etc, so it was good to see some goals :y:

hes to lazy for what i think a top class striker needs to be, he wont give you the 25+ goals a season that a striker needs to be giving consistenly and I feel united play as a side FAR FAR better when hes not in the team. He was a good player at spurs (good player in an average team) but now hes an average player in a world class team. No where near the 30million he was bought for. Unless the ball is at his feet he doesnt want to know, which is why id allways pick tevez above him

yea totally agree and tevez has just been stuffed on the bench and hasnt even been getting any decent pitch time, its not like he's been give a chance to show Fergy has made a mistake which is unfair, Last Season Tevez was so important the amount of time he clinched 3points for United in the last minute was unreal he was always there when you needed him and Berbatov is too casual and hasnt really been getting the goals just a few here and there would be a real shame to see tevez leave United or the premiership he is a world class player :y:
Ryan
11th January 2009, 22:14
tevez will be going sadly I feel. Although I dont think its beause he will want to leave its largely due to the companie who effectively own him (agent).
Shame as a brilliant player which was shown when he effectively kept the hammers up, and played brilliantly for us in the 07-08 season.
Rooney works well with him and I felt they could have a partnership to rival that of when yorke and cole were in their hey day.
Berbashit cost 30million and so will play everygame to justify spending that £££
JCs_VTR
11th January 2009, 22:20
Yea 30million is just taking the piss I cant belive he was worth that kinda of
money, yea last season Rooney and Tevez were on same thinking levels and skill were moving for each other etc, its kinda getting there with Berbatov and Rooney except berbatov doesnt make the runs only rooney does so its only a 1 way partner ship if you get me lol and they are still getting used to each other was a slow start as well. What do you think of cristiano this season? he hasnt really shown much flair since the madrid fiasco
Ryan
11th January 2009, 22:38
CR is having a good season still. Just last season was one of those that will allways stand out in a career. That makes this year look bad if he doesnt do it again which he isnt doing fully, he had a late start to the season and hasnt done to bad imo.
I was so glad when saha went then we got berbashit

11th January 2009, 22:41
There was nothing wrong with the corner IMO. Just seen MotD2 and Chelsea were just too sloppy, Terry could and should easily have headed away Evra's cross for the second goal.

Just got home from the game. Great win for United, bit boring in the first half though. Park and Fletcher were amazing all game, overpowered chelsea's midfield easily.
Awesome win

I didnt see it (fecking shit pub I work in having Sky cut, cant find another just Sunday pub job atm need that little beer money)
I've seen a few bits of the match. Chelsea looked so poor at the back. Berba although a good player NOT a Utd player, Corner seemed fine to be but
like me and Dad said if Rooney took his foot off the ball and a quick "I've taken that Lino" then all would be fine. What he did made it similar to the scenario where you have a throw in and one player goes to take it then the "usual" throw in taker comes over and the ball is thrown under arm. Technically it's a foul throw but it's generally accepted by all of what is happening. The corner was something new and different. Like the shite Arsenal penalty a few years back. People were outraged but it can happen.
Liverpool needed a Chelsea win to help there League aspirations as United are on a roll again and we all know what happens then

The corner was something new and different.
It's been around for years, we used to do it for our local sunday team when we're about 14. (5 or so years ago). We used to tell the ref/lino before the game that we would be doing it. They said it's fine, if it rolls the circumference of the ball (1 roll) then it's fine, Rooney could have stopped it, and then rolled it... but he didn't.
Berba is a growing man united player, at first I thought what the hell... but now, he's settling in, getting his goals and assists and doing his work at the top end. I saw the Southampton game he played, I know not the same level but Berba ran the show.
