Well I have a 40" Samsung LCD tv and it developed a flickering picture fault, now as I work for the Tech Guys who are the coverplan people for PC World and Currys I thought nothing of it.

So I make an appointment for an engineer to come out this was on tuesday and the appointment was for the following monday which gave me 7 days to clean the mess that I call my room. So I had been steadily tidying as it had not been done for 6 months and thought I would move the tv and clean the unit it sits on this was on thursday.

So the tv got unplugged and moved onto the floor ready for the unit to be cleaned of all the crap and be dusted, when it was nearly done I knocked the tv and it hit the corner of the unit the pictures below show the result that followed.....

Cant fix it as screens cost more than the tv is worth for some reason so will be written off and will get vouchers for a new one

My laptop did the same a few weeks back so I did as you have and used my tv for the screen but somehow the laptop screen fixed itself.
