Well after my tv was collected today I went to a&e as my left wrist was hurting after football last night (im right handed before the wanking jokes come out).
So can in the waiting room and had 4 xrays done to find out I have broken my wrist oh joy.
I have broken 2 bones one of which is quite important as it does the blood supply to your thumb (link below) and another one on the other side of my hand.
This means no driving for 4 weeks and no football either as I play in goal.
Please give me sypathy I feel like topping myself lol
This is only a temp cast got to have a new one tomorrow

I drove an automatic with a cast.
Not sure on the law though.
But theres a member on here with an Auto saxo who is missing his lower left arm.
So kind of the same situation as you but obviously not for 4 weeks.
If your car is a manual, i wouldnt risk it.

Doesn't look so:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071210122151AARlPlN
But that appears to be in America.
But if it's illegal there, then more than likely its illegal here.
BUT
There is a law that says it is unlawful for someone to "drive a vehicle in willful or wanton disregard of the safety of persons or property."
However, it is the police officer's call. If the officer stops you and notices that you should not be driving with the injury, then you could be facing reckless driving charges.
If you do not feel comfortable behind the wheel with the injury, then do not drive.

It isnt aslong as you are in control of the vehicle.
I had my arm in plaster from my wrist to my shoulder and still drove.
