I was in Mayerhofen

It haddent snowed since the 27th of December. I got there on the 3rd and left on the 10th.

Skiing was good but I was praying for fresh snow as some parts of the runs were too hard packed. Black runs were ice in the steep parts so make sure your edges are sharp on your board. I was skiing btw.
The resort I was at had excellent snow cannon coverage so all runs were skiable.

It's around 2.50 - 3.00 euro for a beer (local stuff)
2.50 for a Jager (without coke)
Coke - 4.00
Hot chocolate - 4.50

Ate out every night and it depends where you go. Never had a shit meal. The best places were around 50 euro for two people (3 course)

Look out for the bars that do drinks offers.

My car had a funny turn on the way to work so had to pull up and make sure it was alright. Not sure what's up with it. Could be something to do with the gaping hole in my exhaust but fingers crossed i'll be able to afford the new one come February!

Managed to get Innsbruck, small for a country like Austria maybe the other one is better but we were only an hour and 20 mins away. That was one of the closer resorts.

This happened the last time I went to Austria... no snow for blaaaddy ages which meant I spent most of my time skidding my arse off on the ice, which is tolerable, but not ideal for skiing for me, but really its the falls that piss me off - It feels like hitting the ground after jumping off a building sometimes.

A whole coach party from our uni have gone to Mayerhofen this week, I nearly committed to it and I'm soooooooo glad I didn't this year.

I prepaid mine when I was booking. If you have a rep on your transfer bus who can sell you them on the bus my advice is to buy them. The ticket offices on the first mornings are packed.

Think mine was £180 there or abouts for 6 days pass. Can't mind the exact price sorry. Around 160 - 190???
