currently have standard 1.1 brakes and they are rubbish!
im gonna change the brake fluid

any other ways to improve them?

get a set of vtr/s calipers and discs on there if youve got a 4stud

no i think VT's are vented discs and standard are solids. or you can get braided brake lines from goodridge that firms up the brake feel.

i drove my mates clio and they are neck breakingly good

look up for some mintex or ferrodo mate
im not much use with the nmbers of them as my brakes you cant get normal pads for

better tyres would help!

only if your constantly locking up
and tbh then your just being heavy footed

dont look too bad
pad shape looks wrong in the piccy but it may just be a generic pic

well my dad could fit the pads most probably
how hard are the discs to do?
