I went into hospital on saturday night and about half 11 in my hospital bed recieved a phone call sayin my car had been broken into and when nothing was found to steal they just used half a paving slab to take my car out. . footprints and dents all over the bonnet windscreen kicked in door caved in windows smashed. im covered by my insurance but im wondering whether itd be worth claiming. im pretty certain itd be a write off but im thinkin the payout would only really be the same amount as what my insurance premiuim would go up . . just after a bit of advice
cheers in advance

F*ck*ng hell mate, thats harsh.... little b*stards!!
Things like this really annoy me- you spend all your time and money making something look good, and some little twats come along and ruin it for you. Sometimes it feels like there's no incentive owning something nice. I feel for ya
Are you gonna get a quote to see if its worth repairing, or is it def a write off?
Where did it happen, ie likely to be any CCTV etc?

police have checked cctv and nothing . . no witnesses or anythin either. . it was just part of the worst weekend of my life . . . im almost certain the costs of reapiring it are guna be like 80% of the cars value so a write off seems the likely thing . . its just the decision with my insurance premium whether i claim of jus sell everything i can off it and keep my no claims

Makes you feel disgusted doesn't it, when you hear of youngsters getting up to this sort of thing. I wonder what the parents are doing tbh..

well scrap value is at rock bottom.
you willl reach something like £100 imo for the whole car.
if you car was worth £500 atleast you would walk away with £300 after excess.
orless if you find who done it and sew/sue them

So many stories lately of people's Saxo's being vandalised. Really does annoy me. Why can't these people get a life!
Dont mean it funny pal, but if the repair is going to cost £1200 it's definetely a write off. You can pick up a VTR for £1200 lol. Not good news tbf.
mattyt

its defo a write off but 1200 is what my insurance is guna go up to even on a 1.1
