Right just took my car for an mot and predictably it failed lol.

Main thing was:

Offside radius arm has excessive play in pin/bush

Nearside radius arm has excessive play in pin/bush

Do I need a new rear axle or can this be repaired ;)

You can get it refurbed, but this is often around £300 anyway. You can either get a second hand beam off here (anywhere between £100-175 for a disc beam) or get an already refurbed beam (usually about £300) or get yours refurbed (again usually around £300)

Hope this helps mate.

Yeah ok mate. Ask anyone on here and they will tell you, expect to pay around £300 for a decently refurbed rear beam. May be lucky and get one for say £250, but £50 is completely unrealistic, the bearings alone cost £36 each.

Well for that price I doubt its any good. I mean you've said yourself you own a shitty saxo.
