well went in my uncles new subaru last night and its only had a k&n air filter on and a complete new exhaust system that he had fitted yesterday.
check out the video.
it sounds like a bloody jet lol. has anyone come across anything like this exhaust system before.

i dont think its the exhaust as i cant hear the note, sounds more like bost leak or something as that whining noise sounds like wind as apposed to the exhaust making it.

WRX's are good cars, tested a Prodrive model not too long back.

Sounds aggressive but that constant hissing would do my head in after a while. I came across a similar sounding system on a Mitsubishi Gallant VR4 at japfest last year, turned quite a few heads on track with that noise. As it passed all you could hear was a masive whoosh like a jet coming from its behind, very unique but an acquired taste.

Really doesnt sound like the typical scooby tbh does sound like its losing pressure

(not saying it is because i dont know much about the turbo workings)

Hope i dont offend anyone...

got the car on monday and then when he had the exhaust fitted yesterday said thats when it sounded like a jet lol.
only been making the noise since the exhaust as been fitted so its defo down to that but sounds cool.
hese had a few subaru's before and never come across it lol.

window was open so i could record it to make sure it could be heard well enough on the phone.
wouldnt get a noise like that with window been open.

If you have a induction kit on itll be that my dad had one his WRX PPP but it overfueled or summink so it came off haha.

would of thought so but it was doing this before we put the induction kit on.
