It is illegal to sell air rifles online as the seller cannot confirm the buyers age. The law was changed in April 2007 I think.
As for posting on sites, if its collection only it might not be a problem.

With the introduction of the VCR Bill you can only sell BB guns to people with an official UKARA membership, which is obtained by paying a yearly membership at your local skirmish site. selling it to people without this is now illegal and you can face a prision sentence for it.
im not sure how the law has effected the sale of air rifles, but for people wanting to sell airsoft weapons and are unsure on the law please look here for more details http://www.ukara.org.uk

use to love bb guns use to shoot eachother with them when i was about 14-15 lol. well dangerous(they were well powerful ones use to split the bbs) thinkin back no googles but was quite good fun wouldn't do it now.
pretty sure some shops buy them off you probably not for a good price.

the way i read the vcr bill when it came out was that only realistic looking bb guns were effected as in a plain black gun would require membership however a gun which is atleast 50% bright orange etc is still sellable... however its been a while since i read it so might not be 100% right.
