Nothing fancy.
Need a work car for driving around London.
Plus i hear a rumour that some models of the one series are exempt from the Congestion Charge.
Which models?

For the 1 series, you'll want a small diesel. 118d gives 63mpg and only 119g Co2. Not sure if thats the exempt one but its the lowest emission one I'm sure. Its pretty quick as well.

You'd be better off in a shitter or something. Actually doesn't even have to be that shit. Just an older car that will stay under the congestion zone limit.
My mates, old girlfriends dad used a 1.25 zetec fiesta in london, then had an exige and m3 at home. Makes sense to me.

Parking is a piece of piss in them though.
Camera me up hahaha
The one series is rear wheel drive and could be exempt from the congestion charge zone and fits in with the image my company wants so i should be able to claim some of it back as "expenses".

as long as you dont want people in the back of the 1 series you'll be ok. I hear the rear leg room is just enough for that midget dude on big brother (verne)

Even the front is small. We get them as company cars. Well we used to anyway.

Hmmm.
What other options are there within this "120g/km" limit?
Anyone got a link to a list?

Audi A3 1.9 TDI (105bhp) also makes the grade at 119g.
After that there is the 3 cylinder brigade, Toyota Aygo, Cit C1 etc etc..

Huge initial spend for the 1series compared to alot of other cars rem. Just depends how much you are willing to spend to start with.

Clarkson went so far as to end his review for the Sunday Times with 'The 1-Series is Crap.'
And then:
Clarkson himself awarded the 2008 model five stars, and had the following to say: 'The 135 coupé is the best car BMW makes.'
What the fuck.
hmmm.

The 1series hatchback isn't up to much space wise. IIRC he compared it to the golf r32 which is alot bigger.
The coupe however got great write ups from everyone. The 135i is a real monster and is (i believe) a riot to drive!
