can you change a saxo VTR lower ball joint??

can you change a saxo VTR lower ball joint??
yes.
Need to take the wishbone off the car.
1. Lift the Carpet, there is two bolts under the sound deadening, take the nuts off.
2. Jack car up and take wheel off.
3. Remove pinch bolt and nut from bottom of strut.
4. Seperate ball joint from strut
5. Undo the middle wishbone nut and take the bolt.
6. A matter of hammering and levelring it out.
7. Take to a garage who have a press, they will press the old ball joint and and press the new one in.
Then reversal of removal basically.
When getting the centre bolt lined up i used a jack to push it in straight.

Yeh, as Steve mentioned best popping along to a garage with the wishbone & they will pop them in and out for a few quid.
I broke a pretty meaty vice pressing mine back in a few years back. Always go to the garage now ;)

that is what i thought but gf went o buy one and one place said u cant just by a ball joint for a saxo because u cant juist replace the joint as they dont come out.
another place sold us a ball joint i just wanted to confim it was possible

adding a little heat will help remove it to.
ive also broke a vice, bigger than mystics, work on suspension (luckily it want my vice or my garage, so my mate got bollocked :cool:)

And that was a 22mm ;)
