Just brought a saxo engine 1.1 mpi for my pug 106 as it blew the headgasket.

What i want to know is will all my old loom connect up properly and my ecu and transponder key?

I've got the ecu with the engine but no key and ive also got the loom.

Can anyone shed some light on if this is just a straight swap and would my pug box fit straight onto the saxo engine?

and is there anything else I need to do apart from changing the timing belt before refitting. Thanks

would it not of been cheaper quicker and easier to fit new head gasket? would of imo.

will all connected up depending on year of both engines.

I was thinkin of doing the head gasket but parts were totalling out to about 60 quid plus whatever it costs to get the head skimmed and pressure tested (about 80quid?), so i jus thought put a new engine in it'll work out better in the long run as the car i got it from has only done 20k! :D
