just checked insurance on a golf v5 instead of 1.8tgti
cheaper on the v5 :S
god knows why, anyway. Now considering one of them instead!!
anyone ever driven one?

I've been in one that was tuned. Tbh, it didnt feel that quick, sounded immense though. And they have a lovely interior. I'd possibly i have one. I can get insured on one for £550 roughly.

i would rather the 1.8t, but isnt the v5 better spec'd?

i have checked! 100 quid less than the vts.
just spoke to someone with a v5 and he said that saxo's are more popular in terms of theft...
i dunno!?

I've driven the 2.3 V5, thought it was great, sounds nice too with that extra cylinder. 170bhp so its pretty nippy too

The interior on them is lovely pal. My mate had one with a de-cat and full stainless system and had a remap etc... sounded like a fooking jet! lol. Really did sound amazing. I'd have liked the car tbf... I'll get a pic.

i still think i am along way of a 2.3 v5 lol but if you like the car and can afford to insure it why not go for it?

yeah i can afford it apparently, see what insurance say on the phone tomorrow maybe a different story!
