....Hi. im looking to buy my first car & its a saxo vtr. ive got the money for the insurance and got a quote thts in my budget. all i need now is the car and ive got 1800 to spend. i want one about 2001 onwards. autotrader, adtrader arent doing it for me because every time i ring up its been sold :wall: o_0 lol. i live in Newcastle in Tyne and Wear, does anyone know a better place to look? btw they are not the only sites ive tried but are just the main examples but thought the experts at saxperience might be able to help :boxing: haha. would be much appreciated ;-)

Oh, hmm then Pistonheads is the only one out of my list for you my friend lol

Or if you are going to be sticking around go premium :) cheap and this site is really good. Must be good to keep me here after ive had two upgrades since my saxo ;)

tbf if you really like a car is it not worth traveling?
indeed you have limited your search alot by wanting one standard, they can be found though.... but your really limiting it to 40 miles from you

yerrr thats the problem. i found a perfect one on autotrader. was black, standard and 1295 for a 2001 with 55 k miles. i rang up to go see it because it was only 3 miles away from where i live. n the guy was in the car testdriving it as i rang him n the person bought it. needless to say i wasnt very pleased haha

I guess i can understand why he doesnt want to travel far as alot of saxos nowdays have been involved in some sort of shunt, last thing you want to do is to go all that way to find its a complete waste of your time like.

But yes he has definately limited himself.

if it were up to me i would travel further but as my dad is the driver and i have no car then i cant really do anything about it. would help if he wasnt as stubborn lyk but yano...

i mean dont get me wrong. if i see one and i fall inlove with it and everything sound good and it comes with a warranty of like 3 month where i can take it to a garage and get it checked properly then aii i'll travel abit further but to just go and view a car its abit different...if you know what i mean

Tim_emm
