tbh i havent felt the credit crunch. I dont have a house or pay bills just payin my dad rent, i think it may become apparant how bad it is when it comes to moving out and trying to get myself a mortgage, which i was planning on trying to do late this year.
As for plans today, similar to rem really try stay awake till home time as i didnt get in till 2 from the mrs this morning.

Say what you want tbh.
He's paid for them with his company overdraft.
Im not a business whiz kid, but im pretty sure you dont spend £90,000 unless you have it.
His company is quickly approaching dangerously low levels of liquid capital and he persists in just ragging his company card.
He's a bellend.

My Dads pretty much retired.
This is the issue as he has 2 other directors that work with him.
My Mum, and one other.
Part of the divorce was that he'd leave the company but retain his shares.
As he has a majority, he can still spend what he wants even if its not there...
Fingers crossed he doesn't run into to many problems Rem.
On the books, the companys doing really well.
Its just no one has any money to pay them the money they are owed.
And in return, they can't pay thier outgoings...

All my suppliers are paid up to date, woop :) And I've only got 2 customers owing me over the 30days. But I see your problem.
Todays plan, is to sort out some returns to suppliers then head to Cambridge to see a customer then back to Peterborough to meet my mate after she finishes work then its eats, beer then footy :D

The Mrs sister could has been maed redundant. Doesn't seem to realise that redundancy pay is supposed to cover you whilst you look for a new job.
Isn't the standard rate a week's pay for every year you've been there?
She's just booked a holiday to St. Lucia.... will be interesting seeing her buy food.

Nope. They are doing it in 3 groups. 10, 11 and 12.

Surely its not based on how long you've been at the company but the amount of work you put in/out.

I doubt my contract will be going under. Its forever expanding. But other contracts could be going i think.
djrem
20th January 2009, 10:18
You have less rights as someone who has worked under a year.
This means less chance of being sued and so a small, if any payout for a package to leave.
Simply a case of "We're sorry but we are re-structuring and your position in this restructure has been made unnescessarily redundant".
As long as no-one new is employed to fill that previous job (not making someone else in the company do it) then the employer is within their rights.
Or thats what i remember from the law module in Business Management...
Dan, you should be fine.
Go in the meeting with a cup of tea, slice of toast and some sickipedia jokes.

My parents are divorced.
But they set the company up together before it happened.
My Mum is the Financial Controller.
My Dad is listed as the MD.
However there is a third Director who runs their offices up North but pretty sure he does pap.
So my Dad spends his time semi-retired down the pub where he lives on his own while everyone works their heart into his business.
Sometimes I really dislike that man. And it's weird, because you're supposed to feel that warm fuzzy feeling about members of your family...

Hasnt hit my dads company as harsh as he thought, the decrease in fuel costs have helped them recently as before they had to cut down slightly, and they had to cut down the amount of drops by 2/3 a day per driver just so that the fuel costs didnt get too high!
But now things have steadied out again for now. Untill people cant afford to pay him then he will be screwed!
Seams to be hitting really hard atm!

Takes less than £200 to officially appoint yourself those titles legally.
All you need is to register with Company House as a Limited Company.

You don't work.
You have a loan.
And you use that to insure a VTS?!?!?!!?
Sell the VTS. Get a 1.1
Use the big chunk of saved cash to either spend more time at home or sign up to an agency.
