View Full Version : Furio with 1 year NCB...

Right,

I've got a Furio and I am soon to be receiving 1 years NCB..

However, I am looking to change insurance companies as I will be lowering soon and have found out that direct line do not insure anyone with mods unless they are over 25

With this new insurance quote, I am looking to go fully comp rather than TPF&T like this year..

Currently I have:

- VTS Alloys
- Body coloured bumpers
- Upgraded front and rear lights, side repeaters

Do any of these need to be declared? Are VTS alloys just accepted as "Saxo" alloys?

I also have 3 points :n:

Are there any insurance companies that are alot cheaper/better than others.

I have been on Confused.com and the cheapest I have found so far is from Admiral for around £1,600. This IS with 3 points declared but not with any mods declared..

With 1 year NCB, I was expecting a bit cheaper tbh..

As soon as I added full exhaust system or lowering (not that I have them, just out of interest) it jumped up to like £3,000!!!

Are there any companies which are recommended, that don't double the quote when mods are added?

If not, I may have to go the second year with TPF&T.. :n:

Any help appreciated :y:

James.

How old are you? You may want to check out specialist/modified insurance if you're having problems with declaring mods. Looking in the back of redline/fast car mags will give you some idea.

Here's a few that people on the site use.
Adrian Flux
Chris Knott - Providing you're over 19 for TPFT or over 21 for FC
Quinn Direct.

Also a very helpful sticky to read! http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80671

Alright cheers man..

I'm 18.. Should have included that really!! :P

I'll look into the companies that you have listed..

I think that the quote I got off bell of £1,200 fully comp isn't that bad with mods and 3 points tbh..

Will try to shop about and get it down though..

Cheers :D
