Went out of work for dinner today and i ride a motorbike, its only a 50CC geared as i have turned 17 and havent had money to swap yet, it gets me from a - b and is easy on fuel. Was following a bmw 3 series was quite a distance away and saw here go round a parked car and pull into the left, as i got pas the parked car and got to the rear quater she indicated to turn right into a side road taking me out and resulted in me landing on otherisde of the road. After landing on the bike i got up and she set on me saying its my fault etc and im not admiting liability.

Doesnt the highway code say when turning right take up a position on the centre of just off the centre of the road, with right indicaor on and check right mirror and blind spot beofre making the move? obvious she didnt use mirrors.

So ive phoned the insurance, its been recoverd and waiting for a ring back now. My ribs are hurting and so is my leg, im going to the doctors 2moz for a check but should have gone to hospital really. The bike theres a chance its wrote off but unsure. Its a new ish 58 plate and was immaculate before this, now i need 2 front indicators, right hand mirror, rear brake pedal assembly, front brake leaver, proabaly a right hand bar, right hand fairing and fin, rear sear panel, and chain guard and possibly the forks, if the forks have gone i know there too expensive. Heres a few pics :

To be honest mate, it sounds as if you were travelling too closely to be able to react in time.
Fair enough she should have been paying attention to her drivers side mirror and probably indicated earlier too, but if you were further back you may have been able to apply the brakes and avoid her?
And if the weather is anything like it is here at the mo, you should double your distances aswell.

i wasnt too close, she had pulled in before i reached her, and i was braking as i hit her, you cant stop dead on a motorbike. When stationary what can i do? Just rang the insurance company and there providing me with a hirebike.

I shouldnt be a right off mate, its pointless going though insurance tbh, cheap repair and easy to do. Same happend to me when i were in me car. but i was luckier i manage to pull away from it.

hope your back on the road asap.

PS your a true rider now lol
