:afro:After last week i figured it would be interesting to see how many other people have been pulled over by police..for stupid reasons and nothing has actually come of it!
I was on deliveries (i work as a delivery driver for dominos) and i pull into the car park after a delivery, and i realise theres a copper behind me.. anyway they both get out the car and start firing questions at me, where have i been, whats my insurance, dominos insurance, what mods have i got...
then he starts checking my backbox, alloys, induction kit!!!
so im like what, have i done anything wrong?
was i speeding?
he was like no your driving is fine...
:S
then after about half an hour of nosing in my car, hes like ok thanks mate have a good night! and walks away..
what a waste of time...
anyone else had similar annoyances?
i did laugh about it later though

I was given a warning for antagonising the local boy racers.
To explain further. Im not exactly the slowest driver in the world but my friends and I were 8 up in a minibus restricted to 60mph. I was driving back from Snowdonia through north wales after just having completed the 3 peaks challenge. Some tosser in a fiesta with an unnecessarily loud exhaust and sad looking body kit, raced past me on a straight and then slowed down again (like I can race in a minibus).
So next straight comes up and he is still pissing round so I overtook safely. He is behind me for a while and Im still only doing 50 to 60 (as I cant do anything else) when a marked police land rover joins the back of the queue. So this idiot in a fiesta hurtles past me when we are in a 30 zone.
Of course the police got the lights on and gave chase pulling him about a mile down the road with another officer coming the other way. By the time I pass he is out of the car and getting a right bolloking, but the officer from the 4*4 flags me down, takes me licence and gives me a right go for antogonising the boy racer.
At least it gave all my mates a laugh!

Im a dominos driver too :D Got pulled a few weeks ago, he came up to my window and asked "Can i see some details please?" So i started rumaging through the glovebox and he said "Oh your working are you?" .... And walked off!! Now even a sorry or a goodbye! Just because im delivering dont mean im insured, taxed ect.. (I was though :y:)
goodall3518

i think its when they realise that actually
your just trying to do your job
techinaclly you cant work for dominos unless your taxed insured and MOT'd..

My brother is a taxi driver and got pulled the other night because the database showed the taxi didn't have an mot. When asked why my bro told them to work it out by the number plate - it's under 3 years old therefore doesn't need one! The police weren't happy so tried to do him for not wearing his badge, they were pissed off when told that there are no rules saying he needs to wear his badge, he just has to have it with him in the taxi!

Last year it was really foggy, and i had my fog lights on.
A copper was coming the opposite way and kept flashing his full beam at me and i couldnt see so i had to stop.
Then they repeatadly beeped the horn at me. Didnt realise it was a copper so flashed back, incase it was someone messing around. The police done a U turn and pulled me over.
I asked them what I had done, and they wouldnt say, then they breatherlised me. I explained that they couldnt just pull me over and breatherlise me without reason, they said because I had my fogs lights on. I argued the point of how foggy it was and pointed out a number of passing cars that had them on. The coppers said, well just because they are doing it doesnt mean you have to. Then i questioned why they kepts blinding me with the fog lights and beeping the horn at me. They said "we had to get your attention, to tell you to knock them off"
... Surely thats why they have a sieren and big blue lights?

the most lame time iv been pulled was when I was driving back from my local chinese take away with a mate, not speeding no doing anything usual and I saw the cop car do a Uy and follow me almost all the way home pulling me over just before my house for "swerving" which i wasnt, then claimed she smelt a suspicious smell, then spent 15mins checking my car while my takeaway got even colder. The irony was when she let me go she pulled out infront of someone coming the other way made her look like a right spaz after moaning that i wasnt tking enough care driving. she was such a fat dim woman it just depresses me thats whos looking after my local streets.

Got pulled last night for the first time ever.
Got just into town when a cop car appeared behind me. I started driving really good lol. He was going to turn right then decided he'd follow, he followed me for about 4 miles through town and out towards my gf's mates house.
I didn't exactly know how to get to where I was going, so I did a left and pulled over. Just as I pulled over they popped the lights on and pulled up next to my car, wound his window down and just said where you going guys. So I told him, said I didnt kow my way just gonna get the tomtom out. He asked my name and that was it!
I think that all the time they followed me they were checking my details etc. so as soon as I tell them my name and he sees I'm not lying he lets me go.
Didn't ask for a license or anything!

I was going to say I haven't been pulled, but I have actually been pulled twice now. Funnily enough, never got pulled in any of my 3 Saxo's.
1) Was driving towards a busy junction near Leeds/Bradford Airport. They had been an accident and copper was directing traffic. As I approached the lights, he came over and told me to wind my window down. He said I looked like someone they was after who didn't have a licence. He asked my name and said are you sure? I'm like yeah and he let me go.
2) Had job interview at current place and I was driving through Bradford City Centre as I was having lunch in Lloyds. I went to turn into Multi Storey and the Traffic car that had followed me for 10 minutes decided to pull me. As soon as I got out of car he laughed as I had a suit on etc. He did insurance check, asked a few details and then said sorry. A car like mine with man and woman in it had commited an assault near the College.
In the space of having my 307 2 months, I got pulled twice.

once got pulled for drink driving on a pedal bike as i was coming back from a m8s bbq riding along with a can in my hand at 3 am, was then accused of stealing the bike and when that failed he accused me of going equipped as my bike had a small multi tool under the seat total awanker!
but for all that h8 the police i have a funnier 1
i no a lad that used to drink drive all the time(not clever!) and was driving up a street in his 200sx turbo when a ferrari wizzed past and chalenged him, as he floored it to catch up the ferrari went past a t junction were a police car was that immediatley flew out to give chase and the lad t boned the police car, wasnt a realli bad smash but the 2 policemen were k.o'd apparently the lad got out the car and sat on the kerb and started crying because of how much he loved his car

I got pulled once cause I "accelerated hard" down some lanes by my mates farm, completely within reason as I accelerated after going round a corner in a 60 zone. He asked me the usual questions, then agreed that I wasn't actually speeding as I'd sped up after the 60 limit.
It was quite late and I think they just wanted someone to talk to. lol

I always used to get told off for riding my bmx on the pavement.... however as bmx's have 20" wheels its classed as a childrens bike which means you are legally allowed too ride them on pavement, they get so angry when I play that card.

i have a little list ive been pulled for
never actually had anything come of them
1 i will admit i was being a penis
read on for that
first most annoying one is ive been pulled 3 times in my old vts for 'not wearing a seatbelt' however i was in 3 point harnesses so that explains why the belt wasnt visible coming from the b pillar
second one time i dropped to second for an island at about 40
and got pulled as the vts spat a flame out
claimed i didnt no i was doing it and said id book it into a garage to get it looked at lol
in my 1.1 got the seatbelt jobby 2 more times
in my 205 (this is where i was being a knob)
the car had shit tyres so could wheelspin in most gears at the drop of a hat
came out a junction spinning in first (spinning up)
slapped it in second and spun again (at this point i spotted the cop car)
got my ear chewed and admitted i was being a twat and he let me go
and the last and best imo
got pulled in my 106 as the copper hough my brakes were fucked as he could hear them squealing (i have 4 pots)
upon me explaining 4pots squeal he asked why i needed 'racing' brakes and proceeded to search my car for more 'race' parts
love the fact bmcs say not for highway use lol
again blagged like a trooper about it was an american kit of eghey and it only applied in the us hence highway not road
got the if its there next time i see the car ill make you remove it speech and was let on my way
nice to know there vigilant up my way

got one for spinning, a few year bk a had a mk 1 clio and was coming onto chester front street you had to stop for the t junc then left turned and accelerated through a puddle and dip, spun it through 1st then into second it kept goin(not purposely) then 3rd and i had a large open filter on at the time that roared for fun, then i got traction and seen a police officer in the middle of the road flaggin me down into the lay by, immediatley told me to park in the layby (behind the other 4 cars) and took my keys, then checked details and let me go with a warning as i sed i didn realise it was spining as i had my music up that loud and he said there was only 4 recovery trucks in the area(for the other 4 cars to be seized) and told me i was so lucky it was cold and he couldnt be arsed to wait for a return trip, all the other drivers were laffin at me as i pulled in but i got the last laff as i got away:oops:

been pulled over twice
1st time in my renault 5 for 'driving my car like i stole it' it was 11pm and was driving to my gfs house, was hammering it through a light controlled t junction went through on green and didint see cop car as it was dark, got to my gfs house and she lives in a cul-de-sac so went to top of her road the turn round and got boxed in. i thought f*ck lol. checked my details and everyything was fine and jus got away with 'jus calm it down lad, i know its late at night so its easier to put your foot down but in the future jus go a bit slower' and then he drove off lol
2nd time in my vtr, came off a mini-roundabout too fast and had my back end sliding out but didnt see cop car again lol (this was midday ish) and he followed me for ages until he was behind me and told me to pull in, got my details checked again and everything fine then he said to me 'we've pulled you over as you had your back end out and we;ve had reports of a red saxo been stolen in the area but its not this one (no shit) so be on your way but jus calm it down and next time you see a cop car dip your clutch to make your exhaust quieter'
so i think ive been quite lucky :afro::y::D

Been pulled soo many times you wouldn't believe it.
Reckon i'm one of the only teens in my area with a completely clean license and over a years driving experience. Never had a section 59 or any points.
Only time that pissed me off was when they made me remove my 'road-legal' sideskirts, and 'legal' sunstrip.. Couldn't be arsed argueing with them as they were making me late for work. Took sideskirts and sun strip off, got car re-mot'ed, took them paper work. Put sideskirts and new sunstrip back on and carried on with my life. Got stopped numberous amount of times since then and they never commented on anything illegal with the car.
But yeah, been pulled stupid amount of times, double figures.

Don't know if this counts?
My little east coast, however standard it may look, has a £2.5k speaker/sub setup in there, so it's pretty fecking loud.
I was parked at the train station by where i live, at about 6pm, and was showing off my new install to one of the boys. I had 'before i forget' by slipknot playing, both doors open, playing at about 75% volume (the two subs were pretty fresh, didn't fancy blowing them) and a cop drove past me, to the end of the road, and turned into the other end of the station. He pulled up right next to me, and declared that i must have an illegal exhaust system because my car was 'too low'.
I tried to tell him that it was the adjustable coilovers that had slammed the car, not any illegal exhaust system, but then he went back to ranting about the install. After a few minutes of checking under the hood, he asked if he could check the doorcards and glovebox, found nothing except a few cd's and my wallet. He scribbled something down in his notepad, told me i was 'lucky' that he wasn't fining me, climbed back in his patrol car, and drove off.
Still not sure exactly what e did wrong. Any ideas anyone?

i was turning around in a public car park near me cause went wrong way and aparently was causing a nuicence, he followed me for roughly mile or 2 and tried telling me i had no MOT or insurance, when really i had no tax and i had both documents in the car insisted on giving me producer:S <- Corsa
then i had a courtosy car was an 07 toyota aygo haha was going through a town ive never been through and was lost, got sat nav out and there was a police car at junction followed me and i had to turn left so i did and straight away he put lights on stopped me asked if it was my car ect and insisted i was over the limit for no reason at all, breath tested twice because he couldnt work the machine. Fools.
next corsa i was pulled for speeding which i wasnt just had a stupidly loud exhaust and i loved ragging my corsa so i ran it in lower gears so it was louder:) didnt even follow me for half a mile stopped gave me a warning and then the other guy checked my tires ect and had the cheek to say least you have good tires!:|

Ive never been pulled in two years of driving.
I let my dad borrow my car, the first time and he got pulled within 10 miles of setting off, my car had been taxed the day before and it was still down as sorn on the computers, obviolsly the cop wasnt that good as none of my brake lights worked, dad was off to get them sorted out at the time.

LMFAO!!! awsome!
I came round a carner pretty quick (there are some lights just before the junktion and its a busy road so i went quick to beat the traffic as the lights just turned off red)
Cop car on the other side spots me, tries to do a U-Turn, cant even do it in one go in a big 4 lane main road... ends up eventualy coming up next to me at a next set of lights, windes his window down and goes "you all legit" i say yeah.... and then he drives off.... lmfao!!

Not been stopped by police once in over two years of driving.
Been in the car when my ex got stopped by the local Prostitution Unit, because we were apparently kerb crawling? lol
Boyfriend got stopped just after christmas for a random check too. Mr Police man lent right into the car to ask who we had in the back of the car with us - he'd mistaken headrests, for heads....

2.5K???!!!!!?
Lies?

Biked on the pavement before, was told its running along the lines of death. (I was like 13)
At the time i said you'd rather me, a 13 year old lad bike on the road, with no road sence and get knocked off and close the road and pick up my body bits and do hours of paper work then let me drive sensibly on the path? Copper said ''Push it instead or i'll tell your mum, if i see you ride it i'll crush it.''
So good boy i am i pushed it (Didn't want my mum to find out and the new birthday bike crushed) untill he was out of site then cycled off.

Been stopped unfairly a few times back in the early days.
Best was, pulling into work at the poub i used to chef in... coppa pulled me straight over and started firing questions at me, wherve you been... I;ve seen this vehicle hear one too many times... any way he breathilised me as he'd seen my car their earlier in the day. Maybe i did antaginise him a little by saying that maybe the chef whites in the carrier bag on my arm were a clue to the mystery and asking him how many times he tried before he gave up.
Second time was driving down a one way street with 2 lanes, cop had followed m for ages and ages and ages. Then pulled up next to me saw that i was young and pulled me. Again, is this car yours... etc... then brethilised me. I complained about him and he got a repromand, turned out he had a fetish for breathilising 17 years olds..
Best one for me was when a mate pulled in my drive behind me as he saw me pulling in, we were stood their, two old friends haven't spoken in years then all of a sudden. Excuse me lads theirs been reports of 2 young lads ragging around the area in a silver and a white car and have suspision to believe its you. We want to issue you a 3 point fine and £60. Luckily my mate new his legal jargon and basically said, fuck off we won't admit to it because it isn't true. The fat cop then spent the next 30 mins checking the cars over to the teeth because he had been outwhitted by 2 19 year olds. We in the mean time went and got a beer and stood their saying " Ohhhh not the tyres,,,, please don't check the tyres. Their 4 weeks old dammnit their bald ok!!

Only ever been pulled over once. Got flagged down with a few other cars by some coppers on foot. To make things worse to other cars were a brand new Audi A8 and a Golf R32. So I'm there like "oh thanks now I look like a peasant!" and when I indicated to pull over I hit my fog lights on (fucking french indicator stalk design!). I got told off for having my fogs on, even though it was blatently obvious it was an accident and then got asked when I had last had a drink. I replied "ages ago" and got told to go on with my journey. Was just a drink driving awareness thing they were doing over christmas. Waste of time if you ask me, they could of been out catching criminals.

been drivin 4 and a half years and ive had south yorkshire and strathclyde police done for harrasment! just getting stopped for no reason! got pulled by s. yorks 3 times within an hour and a half, i was 17 with a celica gt4 but thats not the point!:p the amount of times they pulled me, didnt believe it was my car so when i started carrying my documents round they would have a go at me for that aswell! And where i live now in Ayr theres no major roads so all the traffic coppers just sit around the town and pull you for stupid things! got a ?30 quid fine for a dirty numberplate!:rage::rage::rage:
would have stood there and argued it and said why dont i just wipe it but i did know the front tyres were borderline legal so i thought better of it, to save on his own paperwork he dindnt even do a PNC check or give me a producer just aswell as the day after we i found out that they had cancelled her insurance at the end of october, and this stop happened on the 5th jan!:fcuk:

been pulled about 3 times now....
was about 30 seconds away from my house and they pull me for 'going too fast over humps' and 'i look too young to be driving' Firstly 20-25 over humps isnt bad considering they were small and secondly dont bring up the age thing just because they had nothing on me.
i then got pulled again for looking young.
and the most recent one was a motorbike copper who pulled me for flicking a fag out the window lol.

I got pulled over in my 1.2 fiesta shitbox that I bought for £200, for accelerating at a dangerous manner. I suppose 0 - 60 in about 22 minutes is pretty dangerous.
Unluckily for me he checked my car and one of my tyres was below the legal limit so the pleb fined me & gave me 3 points.

Was just sitting at the petrol station in my old westcoast waiting for a mate to come out and a police car drove past and both policemen were staring at me! Didnt think anything of it untill i pulled out the petrol station and started driving up the road.
The police car put his lights on and did an eratic u-turn and zoomed after me and pulled me...i done fuck all! Once they checked my details and car and realised i was clean they drove off hardly saying a word!!
Cant stand the police around my area, they will pull you over for anything and most of the time, you havnt done anything!

Only been pulled once,
Day after I passed my test. :wall: Was out for a spot of spirited driving.. Came around a bend slightly quicker than I probably should have been, police car coming in the other direction :n: All the lights go off he swerves in front, we stop side by side holding up a tractor and about 4 or 5 other cars :clapping: *opens window*
Copper: How fast were you going around that corner?
Me: 35-40
Copper: BOLLOCKS!
Me: Yep, you're right :p
Copper: How long have you been driving
Me: *looks at clock* Erm, Half an hour?
Copper: Not just now you clown, since you passed!?
Me: *looks back at clock* Yep, about half an hour.
Copper huffs, realises he's stopped a mountain of traffic, tells me not to do it again and we both drive off. Happy Days!:drink:

Ive got to praise the police around Wakey, they had a crackdown, which i thought meant attack every lil shit with a backbox but instead they've actually been pretty good.
Showing up where the boyracers hang out and just being there, not like it used to be with the harrasment for no reason whatsoever.
Also been catching speeders alot more on leeds road, which is about time because theres loads of kids and loads of people nail it down there.
And i havn't been followed by them for yonks - bonus. Not that i drive badly just used to follow me everywhere which tbh makes you drive badly because your worried about the copper, even when you've done nothing wrong - Why i do that ill never know, its not just me is it?.
Coppers should be like teachers, they should be inspirational, then people would respect them and help them when they needed it. But because they have the bad boy approach, dont mess with us or will squash you with the book, people keep their mouths shut. And think they are dickheads. I mean there are still the jobsworth who need bringing back to earth but most are pretty decent.

Most annoying thing I've been pulled for (back when I first started driving) would have been in an old 205gti I had. Got pulled for the exhaust being too loud. well it was a straight through bit of scaffolding pipe, so cant complain there really.
Funny thing was though, I was dropping 3 highly intoxicated friends off outside a club when they pulled me, but didn't even breathalise me. To be honest, probably could smell that I'd had nothing to drink!

basically
was on deliveries for dominos again.. im driving down the road to a crossroads, and across the opposite way comes the 50... the driver stares me out as he drives past. think nothing of it.
keep driving to the shop, next thing i know ive parked up and the coppers behind me, asking "alright mate, dya know why i stopped you"?
errr no....
started asking me all these questions, asking me what im doing... obviously im working you arsehole, i dont wear dominos uniform for fun!
then tried to do me for speeding, i asked if he had any proof..his proof was he saw "body roll" on my car round a corner...lols?
i just laughed and he left!

other than that just get pulled regularly for drink driving checks, mainly because i work in a pub/resturant and there is a police parking bay opposite the car park entrance, so when i leave at 11/11.30 they follow me and pull me over for "a rountine drink driving test" as they seen me leaving a pub

Pulled twice:
First one when I had not long passed my test (8 years ago) and was speeding along Falmouth beach front and drove straight past a copper. I slowed down where they caught up with me. Gave me a right mouthful but let me go without a ticket :)
Second time was a random stop last year, pulled over and was instantly told I had to take my details into the nearest station, but I happened to have all of them on me as I had just taxed my car, pulled them out to show them where I was then bollocked for 'carrying' the documents on me. WTF??!

I got pulled a few months back now. Didn't ask to see my licence or anything, just asked for my name. Then asked what had I been doing today and where I was going, then let me go.. Proper random lol
One of the sites we work on have their own "police." Work protection they're called. They stop you at the gate in and out to search your car and shit. But they can also do you for not wearing a seatbelt, speeding, using a phone whilst driving, etc.
You get given "points" on your clocking in card just like in the outside world. Is quite comical because they think they are the be all and end all of the works. :homme:
They pulled our supervisor for not wearing a seatbelt. Told him he'd be getting three points etc etc. Asked him If he knew how long they'd stay on his "license"..... His reply..... "longer than your fucking job will last!!" Fucking lolz!!

funniest time i was pulled was when my friend had a blue beaccon and never told us! I was after leaving his house and on my way home doing 70 in a 50 zone after midnight and he came lifting up behind my in his glanza. I was fair worried but when i realised it was him we had a good laugh:L

You had a bald tyre and he's a cunt? O_o. If that blew out you could have killed someone, so he isn't a cunt.
