hey, ive had a new tyre put on my front left wheel and now it is rubbing and has took tread of the tyre :/ is that because the alloys are to big for the car or?

could well be mate or your car may well be to low, did you have this problem before the new tyre, might just need to do a bit of inner arch work to stop the rubbing

you may have the wrong profile tyre. on 16's you ideally nead 195/40/16

Do you have photos of your tyres?
Also, do you have photos of the tyre wall showing what sizes they are?
Are they the correct offset?
Where is the rubbing occuring on the car?
This will help members process the issue.

i have 195/45/r16s and the rubbing is occuring when i turn to the left when the tyre goes under the arch catching at the back of the arch. Help me please :)

hmm 195/40/16 is the best for 16's.

Is your car lowered? I've got the same 195/45/16 on and my car is lowered 40mm and it doesn't rub.

im looking to get 16s at the moment but bit worried that there gonna rub
