loose backbox?

whenever i let off the gas in second and third and the car is coasting in gear, i often hear an almost rattly, vibrating loose sound, i took it to the garage to sort it out a few months ago and they fitted a new seal and tightened something i wasnt really listening, but a few hours later it resumed making the annoying noise... any help?

Mine does this too, I think I just need some new exhaust hangers for the rear. Powerflex ones are alot stiffer ;)

well i should be getting a nice exhaust soon, so if it persists then i will go mental and just throw pva glue all over it lol

check the clamps mate, make sure they are tight

I have a problem with the hook that is welded on the centre section rattling on some piece of bodywork where it is suspended by the rubber. Does my head in...

i had the same too mate, what i did was removed the centre section and placed the hanger in a vice and bent it slightly, havent had a problem since, aftermarket exhausts dont tend to fit very well

Yeah I was thinking of doing something like that. I also thought about getting a stiffer centre hanger wondering if that would keep if held down slightly.

Does anybody know if the universal powerflex one [or another] would do this?
