Hey everyone,

My Mk.2 Saxo SX looks nice, but it does have a problem all non VTR/VTS Saxo's have in the way their ass sticks up way too much. I've got some VTR alloys to put on it, but I will be wanting to lower the rear by 20-30mm just to make it look better.

I asked my mate who said he'd do it for me... But I'm a bit worried as he said he'd just turn the torsion bars upside down? Just need to find out if this is a suitable way to lower the rear and one that doesn't compromise any part of the car. I am a complete novice in all aspects of cars.

Cheers

Im guessing he means by turning it in notches, in that case -

read the 1st bit on that site,

or buy a premium membership, as it tells you how to do it 'correctly' in the modifications section.

"The only solution is to fit uprated torsion bars on the rear"

Eek i don't really understand any of it... So if I buy uprated torsion bars for the rear... It will lower it?

Where can I get such a thing? :)

Nah, i dont think you really need to buy uprated ones tbh, the point i was tryin to make was not to just twist it in splines/notches. If you take the torsion bar out, lower the car then push it back in basically, it will be fine! Any questions just ask.:y:

Oh ok thanks. Think I need to read up on the subject a bit more as I am totally clue less on all of the terms.
