You can use mini torx to take the plastic front off
And the numbers can just be gentle re-positioned.
Its hard to explain, but once you get them out you'll see.
Digital Clocks reset themselves.

Mine never reset and none of my mates did however Peugeot/Citroen can do it for a fee or if you but the software but will probably be expensive unless you have some dodgey mates.
Manual ones can be done easy provided you are gentle and patient.

Oh.
I had an unlocked ECU so might have been different.
The clocks are the same throughout the range as well as the ECU recordings if i remember correctly.
The way the clocks measure shouldn't be an issue.

No.
He is fitting replacement clocks and needs the mileage to be the same.
Citreon would do this as standard.
Clocking is only when you change the mileage to something lower than what the car has actually performed:
Odometer fraud, also referred to as "busting miles" or "clocking" (UK and Ireland) is the illegal practice of rolling back odometers to make it appear that vehicles have lower mileage than they actually do. Odometer fraud occurs when the seller of a vehicle falsely represents the actual mileage of a vehicle to the buyer.[1]

they dont mind if your not just reducing the mileage
what hes asking is hes bought new clocks
and the mileage is higher on the new clocks so he wants to put it back to his origonal mileage
