reason: cats have no loyalty. will go anywhere that feeds them. and they are shit at bringing back sticks

I would only have a husky dog or an alsation :P
Cat can be loyal if you look after them they will come and sit with you but they still think they own you and basically a cat in its mind is god

i used to hate the wee dogs aswell, prefer the big dogs that you can fight with over toys and that. but i moved to a new flat where my neighbour has a west highland terrier, and my neighbours had a stroke so i take him out every day and hes such a wee character, its awesome

Dogs, cats are all stuck up little animals all up their own arses.
Dogs have more personality, and realise your a living thing too unlike cats which think your another tree stump to rub on.

dogs by far. we have got 3. sounds bit gay but dogs are much better 'friends' lol. They have more of a character and appreciate what you do for them. And they can work for you like our dogs do. as said, cats just go anywhere they want and where there is food, and i dont think they appreciate their owners no way near as much as dogs do. i just dont like them for some reason!

well u can like fight for a toy with a dog n its teeth arent as sharp as cats teeth, and if a cat cant be bothered fighting for its toy it'll just scratch ye. no fun at all. i thought i'd be nice to a cat one time and give it a little pat on the head and it bit me :n: seriously not good fun

I have cats and a dog.
I love cats as there so clean and easy and will just come and go as they please. Yet there still loyal and love there home, also is mint watching my black one climb trees its like a monkey haha.
My dog is a whippet, hes dead cool and VERYY fast at running but does crave attention and sometimes you just cant be arsed, have to walk them all time which is no fun in the winter.

when people say dogs are loyal does that mean you can leave the front door open and they wont run off?

if your good to your dog then it wont run off. my dog used to lie in the garden, only ran off when it saw a smelly moggy, but came back when she got to a road, only haoppened like twice. its the affection they give that cats dont

Dogs ftw, i have 3 of them a springer x jack, border collie, and a black german sheperd who is huge! We can leave the front door open and they wont run off, well the springer will run to the car, sit and wait till you take him out lol. we always walk our dogs without leads (new forest). as said cats dont appreciate their homes as much as dogs.
