Hi,

Just wondering what is necessary to change the loom from a vts to vtr. as i will be converting a VTS to vtr engine.

^ ^ ^ easier tp buy a vtr loom from the same year as your car.

ok i have bought a car mk1 vts with a popped vts engine (engine removed) and i have a spare engine left over (VTR) which i am planning to put in.

well then you'll want a vtr loom and ECU from the same year car as yours. What year is the vtr engine from, and your saxo? If you've got a later vtr engine, in a mk1 I'm not sure about whether a mk1 vtr loom will connect straight upto the later type vtr engine, as there maybe a few different connections on the sensors.

Is going to be easier/potentially cheaper when you take into account your time playing around trying to fit the vtr loom to your vtr engine depending on the age of the engine.

IMO I'd buy a vts/106 gti engine, then just use your existing vts loom. Or get your old vts engine sorted, what's wrong with it ?

get a vtr loom then - or fix your vts engine . . . .
