not sure about the actuall engine bay mate.
But with the rocker cover, jst take it off, sand it down, apply some Kurrust rust preventor (and remover is need be)
Alow that to dry
Prime it up
Spray it wotever colour you wish
Then lacquer it
No need for heat proof paint etc etc
Done mine about 3-4 months ago, still perfect :)

Use normal paint for the bay mate. Same as you'd use on the exterior bodywork.

Kurust, then primer then paint.
I take it your gonna be using rattle cans. If you can get hold of a compressor and spraygun you'll probably get a better finish using proper water based auto paint, mixed with hardner.

Proper paint with a gun is always the best option tbh Liam. Much better quality paint and you'll get a thicker coat on and probably a better finish. But its more expensive as you need all the equipment to go with it.
Spray cans are easier to use if you're not too bothered about having a 100% perfect finish. Plus, you cant see most of the bay in a saxo, except the fronts on the inner arches, so this may be your best option. Just make sure its all prepped properly and it should be fine.
